Thanks for the heads up on the Citi program - hadn't heard about it so checked it out and the pricing is quite nice - better than the Buysonic mystery bag on the HD800 if you have the points (turns out I have thousand of them I didn't even know about). +1!- DrikTheTroll

Original Ausdom M04S Bluetooth Headphone Deals
Checked - the older one (M04) is on Amazon for $35 - the discount code at the start of the thread does not work (would not expect it to). The M04S is listed for around $55 on Amazon and the discount code drops off $10.99 to make it $44. This applied to 2 out of 3 listings. Would not...- DrikTheTroll

Original Ausdom M04S Bluetooth Headphone Deals
Price seems to have gone up on the M04S on Amazon. Code still works, but as a $10.99 credit - final price with credit around USD $44 (not $35). Only works with black model (not red/black).- DrikTheTroll

Project Ember Review
Amish - thanks for sharing your experience. My confusion comes from the fact that the Garage website describes the input gain options for the Ember II as "2+Module" - for an implied 4 effective levels of input gain? Are you able to achieve 4 levels of input gain? Also if it's just...- DrikTheTroll

Project Ember Review
Does anyone know what is meant by "input attenuation module" - exactly how would you use this feature? is it is configurable dip switches, components that you change yourself or an actual set of modules provided by the manufacturer. If it's the latter how many are they and what do they cost?- DrikTheTroll

Price sounds great but fair warning these seem to have a recurrent cable reliability problem (look them up on Amazon). You'll be taking a chance and maybe getting a great deal or maybe a pile of aggravation.- DrikTheTroll

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Quick question for the thread. Is it easy to swap pads on the latest LCD-2? Just bought a pair from Buysonic and they jacked me with the wrong pads (should have been brown microsuede, they shipped black leather). Money back - yes - replacement - no - so if I don't return my only choice...- DrikTheTroll

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
I bought a pair of LCD-2 Rev 2s non-Fazor over a year ago and loved the sound but found them really uncomfortable for long listening sessions so returned them. Looking for some feedback from the community - I heard the pads were updated to be more like the LCD-3 pads - do the new pads make a...- DrikTheTroll

Review by 'DrikTheTroll' on item 'Superlux HD-668 B'
I had trouble picking a rating for these. At the price I paid ($36), these sounded good in many ways, with the exception of the highs, which I found to be harsh. The killer for me, however, was not the highs themselves, but the ear-stabbing pain those highs induced very quickly (within a...- DrikTheTroll

I bought the $20 UE6000 from Compuguys on Ebay recently. The battery compartment appears to be sealed, so I would not count on the active noise cancelling working (it's not very good anyway). The condition overall was good, however, and the sound indistinguishable from another pair of UE6000s...- DrikTheTroll

[New] Philips Fidelio X1
I tried a pair of Grados at the Washington DC Canmania for the 1st time recently - I don't know where they are built, but wherever it is foam must sell for the price of gold given how stingy they are with it. X1s get 90% of my head time - wonderful extremely comfortable headphones.- DrikTheTroll

Review by 'DrikTheTroll' on item 'Phiaton PS 20 Half In-Ear Premium Earphone (Glossy Black)'
Bought the active noise cancelling version of these as a daily deal on Amazon for <$20. Active noise cancelling completely broken on both my original unit and the replacement - so on one hand the quality was horrific. That said, I really enjoy their overall sound - slightly warm, bass...- DrikTheTroll

[Advice] Superlux HD-668B vs. Superlux HD-681EVO?
It all comes down to your ears - no way to tell other than trying them. I'm more sensitive than most to hot treble, so there's a good chance they might not bother you. Other than the hot treble (which kills them for me), the 668B is in many ways a good value. My recommendation is to make sure...- DrikTheTroll
