KG CFA3 headphone amp
I can say I have the CFA2 (single ended only) and the dynalo mini (pretty much a DIY GS-X ) and prefered the CFA2 for HD650. I haven't tried other headphones but based on reports many people prefer it over the Dyna series of amplifiers.- MASantos

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
It is actually a good thing that you run your preamp close to maximum volume. This means that you only have as much gain as necessary in your system and don't need to throw it away. It doesn't make much sense to have a lot of gain if not needed, makes for a simples chain of amplification and...- MASantos

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Vidar is a current feedback design, and most amps on the market are voltage feedback design. Search what those terms mean on the web and you'll find good definitions. Vidar also uses a microprocessor to monitor all the working parameters of the amplifier circuit and this way doesn't need a...- MASantos

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
There are 4 different power supplies in the Vidar as far as I can tell. 2 unregulated supplies (one for each of the output channels of the amplifier), 1 for the input and driver stages of the amplifier and one for the microprocessor that run the whole thing. So lets break them down but first...- MASantos

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Jason congratulations on releasing the Vidar. Looking at the internal pictures the payout is very well thought of and makes for a very compact build. One thing I saw missing from the specs and could be important for those wanting to leave them on all the time is the power consumption when...- MASantos

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Let me change topic here for a bit, I'm sure someone may have asked the same thing but I won't be reading 2800 pages... When can we expect a higher grade phono amplifier? There are various DACs and amps now and I'm sure you guys can come up with a higher perfermance phono stage? Maybe a tube or...- MASantos

A TREAD sized regulator - the r1
This looks like a nice little regulator! It's small enough to be built inside a large wallwart with a trafo for small power applications, should be perfect for a Y2 or small desktop amp. Is this appropriate feedback?
That is certainly not appropriate. Even though you should always leave feedback either buying or selling, and do so swiftly, it is no reason for the buyer to leave you a negative feedback. You should wait for a response from the mod team. I believe that feedback posts should not be...- MASantos

Why do sellers say 'CONUS only' ?
I would say that most of times is just the sellers being lazy and not bothering to fill the customs form.
