OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
How durable are these against normal wear and tear? My HA-2 slipped and fell 3-4 inches and hit my table... It looks fine (no scratches or anything), but maybe I'm just paranoid! What are the signs of broken dac's and amps? Is it instantly noticeable, or is it something like reduced...- kzhlin

How do these compare to dac/amp combos like the Schiit Magni 2/Modi 2? What are the pros and cons of portable vs. non-portable dac/amps? I will be using these with Westone 4R's and Oppo PM-3's. Thanks!- kzhlin

I'm interested in getting a dac/amp and I was wondering how this sounds as compared to a portable dac/amp like the Oppo HA-2. What are the advantages to using a non-portable dac/amp? I will be using this with: Westone 4R, Oppo PM-3 Thanks!- kzhlin

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
If I'm using my iPhone as the source, does using the HA-2 with these (or IEM's and headphones in general) result in a noticeable difference? My question is whether or not I should buy a portable DAC/amp. Thanks!- kzhlin

Noble 4 vs. Noble Savant vs. SE535 LTD-J
Hey all, I currently own a Westone 4R and Oppo PM-3 and am interested in getting another pair of IEM's. I'm looking for an IEM with a better midrange. I like the Westone 4R's, the the midrange gets "boring" after a while. 1. Do you guys have any thoughts about these 3 IEM's...- kzhlin

I like the W4R sound signature, but I would like more lush/fun/prominent vocals. The W4R vocals seems pretty recessed or "veiled" as many people referred to it.- kzhlin

I'm not much of a basshead (I'm quite satisfied with my Westone 4R's). I am looking for something with a bit more clarity and more immersive (not sure if that makes sense). The Westone's are great, but it just doesn't sound like I'm being immersed in the music.- kzhlin

I've heard great things about those and was looking into getting a pair of JH13's but as far as I know, they are only CIEM's? And the Angie's are out of my price range! Do you have any recommendations for under $800? These are mainly for portable use, so it will probably be run off of an...- kzhlin

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new pair of IEM's and I was looking for some input! I currently own Westone 4R's and Oppo PM-3's (just bought). I think I might return the PM-3's and go back to IEM's since I prefer the portability, comfort, and detail of IEM's. Anyways, I was looking for...- kzhlin

Thanks for the quick response! I'm looking for a portable-ish headphone. When I want to go completely portable, I just use my Westone 4R's. These headphones will be mostly for when I'm not going places. But I would still like to be able to drive them using my iPhone 6 or Macbook Pro. ...- kzhlin

In the market for new IEMs. I enjoy an analytical earphone and my budget is $200.
I like the Etys. When I first tried them, they felt different and it took a while to get used to the flanges being so deep in the ear, but now I find them really comfortable. They also provide excellent noise isolation.- kzhlin

Looking for sub-$500 computer speakers?
I've been listening to the MM-1 for quite a few hours and I really like them! I didn't notice the hiss that some owners have mentioned, and while the bass isn't crazy, when I turn the volume to about 75%, my table starts to vibrate a little. Performance wise, sound quality on the higher...- kzhlin

Looking for sub-$500 computer speakers?
I got a pair of mm-1's to audition so I'm going to check that out this week before I decide what to get. Can't wait! It's going to lack the bass and power compared to the airmotiv 5's, but for my listening (quiet music in front of computer), I think the MM-1's would be a good choice. We'll see!- kzhlin

I agree! I have to say that I LOVE my balanced armature IEMs. Lots of clarity, accurate and neutral sound reproduction, and just amazing to listen to. Personally, I think that headphones and IEMs produce a different environment/atmosphere that many people might prefer. Headphones and IEMs...- kzhlin
