You would have to sum the positive signals together, and the inverse signals. I know that there are many outboard mono boxes for RCA's. I wonder if there are similar XLR boxes in the pro market?- 33na3rd

Very nice! Is the phenolic just a veneer, or is the whole board phenolic resin? Some turntable manufacturers are now using phenolic resin for their chassis. It's supposed to be very good for vibration dissipation.- 33na3rd

The PBJ made this mod easier. You can just scrape the insulation away from the wire where you want to insert the switch, no cutting required. It's still a single/whole piece of wire between the two RCA jacks.- 33na3rd

If you're really sick and twisted, I'm looking in the mirror, you can make a pair of interconnects with a built in mono switch. Even fewer connections than an add on box, and totally out of the signal path in stereo mode. But nothing beats a pre with a built in mono button. Edit; a mono switch...- 33na3rd

The panels on the ceilings and side walls/door are QRD's. The panels and "bass traps" in the corners are Helmholtz resonators, tuned for 45Hz.
