Unique Melody Miracle Review & Impressions Thread
After auditioning several IEMs at Stereo Vivo and Plaza I settled with UM Miracle V2 and that is not it. The V2 Miracle IMO isn't at its best and at the same time I ordered from Beat Audio teh Vermillion. The IEM matches the cable extremely well so decided to drop in a post here to give a hand...- mousike

Headphones vs Speakers -- an Inconvenient Truth
Don't misunderstand the context of my points. I was merely sharing my personal experiences and not from third sources. As said, in this hobby it is important to spend within means and I repeat it is about connecting with people thru music not gears. Glad what you have now works for you. Cheers~- mousike

Headphones vs Speakers -- an Inconvenient Truth
A reference headphone setup is about 6k to 10k while a reference speakers setup is about 10 times more. Which is better? To my ears a reference speakers setup with all top of the line electronics spinning from a vinyl source with marginal room treatment gave me mind boggling sound experience -...- mousike

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")
Currently my TH900 mod with Wywires Platinum Series cable and Dekoni pads is the hardest hitting bass headphone with no issue whatsoever on highs at all - none and not even sibilance. Thought of selling it or upgrade to something else but now its definitely a keeper for me.- mousike

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
FWIW I have further tweaked with Dekoni pads. These pads are indeed plush, comfortable, and they sound great! A tad warmer and rounder mids...sounds even better then before. Worth a look at if folks are looking for better quality pads. I am not sure how it will sound with stock cables but have...- mousike

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
I think a fair opinion is always welcome so folks can share freely. It need not be bashing any brands but an open non abusive opinion is always good to encourage folks to share. All mods will make a difference and some may even be a negative one. Whenever there is a good one why not share the...- mousike

Wywires ain't cheap...so is a headphone like TH900. You contradict yourself...what exactly are you getting at? Only cheap cables measure well?? Folks can't post and share freely without 50 pages thesis of graphs and charts to prove? I reckon you subscribed to all solid state low distortion...- mousike

Good...and keep it that way. haha...some like steak while others butter...guess, its not easy to please everyone. One thing for sure I find TH900 has plenty of potential to be better then it already is. Otherwise we won't be seeing so many different mods available in the market. The reason...- mousike

I am glad you are fine with modding and its ok if that not your thing too. Still I am sure many may consider to do so and some not - it's a personal choice so is sound or even music. I have already written clearly of my opinions but you are making suggestions here which I don't think will...- mousike

Well...I have modded speakers costing well over 20K and not that its bad otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Still there is always room for improvement and thats where the fun is or isn't it? :) Yes, I was careful not to use the word Refine. If I were to use speakers as comparison it is...- mousike

No worries, always glad to share...the Red Series isn't Platinum Series and they do have handphone cables for both. That said I think there ain't more information I can provide and suggest you to reach out to Alex Sventitsky from Wywires directly. I am sure you can find their contacts in the...- mousike

I won't say more but better quality bass. I reference this to a JL Sub because of the clean, fast, yet deep bass it can produce. It will rock your house down but not boomy, slow, and bleeds into your mids.- mousike

I had done some modifications on my speakers plus some other tweaks in the past to improve my stereo rig and still enjoy music thru them. Now, I have the TH-900 for a while and thought of pushing the performance further. I read a fair bit on some of the mods available on-line, took the headphone...- mousike

New headphone amplifier from Bryston
Thanks~ I have HRS Damping Plates on top of it as well...the Berkeley is renowned as a converter but its not in a very solid case. These little tweaks helps to bring down the noise level further. The BHA-1 has been ON since I have it and its performing very well with ARC Ref CD9 as a...- mousike

Guys, give Audience SE power cord + interconnects, SRA VR Series ISOBase, and Hifi Tuning Supreme fuse a shot at with the BHA-1. The net result balances the LCD-3 nicely and here is a quick pic of the combo... :)- mousike
