Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
Hola Matias.

Fake Senheiser IE800?
@chinswain can you also take photos of the: - leather case (especially of the "s" letter), can you see/feel the magnet? (on the fakes magnet becomes loose quite fast and can be seen inside the case) - the plastic rectangle where ear tipst are held (fake one is textured and original is not) - the...- Mr Makarov

Astell & Kern Junior (AK Jr.) Impressions Thread
Hi every one.I just found the file where I put my observations (2017) about JR some months ago. So there it goes: So after spending some time with AK Jr (like 4-8 hrs a day for 5+ months) I think I´m, finally able to give my opinion. The night when I first posted on this thread I was just...- Mr Makarov

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
About SE535´s low end. I really like it. It is a quality bass for sure. However, there is not very much sub-bass and if you think they´re somewhat anemic or very bass light then you would be wrong. The bass is good, authoritative and clean. I much prefer the SE535´s bass to the Momentum´s bass...- Mr Makarov

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
Hi! First thing I have to mention is that I do not have and I did not heard Alpha&Delta AD01. However, I heard some IEMs in the USD 100 range (Dunu Titan 1, Sony Xba-10 and Shure SE215) and not a single one comes even remotely close to the clarity, and especially mid-range presentation of...- Mr Makarov

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Guys please stop derailing the thread. Or create a "How to spot a fake Shure SE846" thread (like the one for IE800) - that would be helpful and the discussion you´re developing right now would be somewhat in the context. On the other hand, it seems that there is a misunderstanding and from an...- Mr Makarov

Uplifting Trance reccomendations
Deadmau5´s genre is house (progressive and electro). "I remember" was a collaboration with DJ Kaskade and the result was also slightly on the "trance side" in my opinion. Good and relaxing tune. 2013´s "The Veldt" is similar. However, neither of those tunes are near the Uplifting Trance...- Mr Makarov

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Hi! Glad to hear you´re enjoying your SE846´s! It is always a nice feeling when you hear the boost in audio quality. SE846 can sound pretty different depending on the source (plus all the variations of filters+ear tips). FiiO X1 is a very good value for the price and it sounds good (but will...- Mr Makarov

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
What a great tune! Listened to it like 10 times. Really liked it!!! Now. Timbre-wise - I agree with you. Something is off. There is some sort of "hollowness" to the music, Like some "gaps" in it are filled with somewhat "lifeless/dry/gray" thing (if it makes any sense). Clarity is pretty good...- Mr Makarov

Astell & Kern Junior (AK Jr.) Impressions Thread
Hi everyone! Today finally got my AK Jr (and the nice black case for it). I was on the fence about new DAP for years..but got a good deal on AK Jr. Previously I had experience with FiiO players and it was far from being a good one - discovered what FiiO was "not my cup of tea" (SQ wise). Will...- Mr Makarov

Decisions decisions.... Ath M50x, Philips Fidelio X2, Sennheiser Hd8 dj and Beyerdynamic DT770
!!! Saw your post on HE400i thread I was very interested in Senn HD8 dj.. also got HE400i and it is pretty good (love the clarity). So...how HD8 compares to HE400i ?I remember it was nearly impossible for me to listen to Fidelio X2 after HE400i (looking to replace my Denon D600 in near...- Mr Makarov

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
Go to IEM: SE846.Everything about them is practical even the sound. They sound just right to me (awesome with some tip rolling) and more importantly I can listen to them for 6+ hours straight. Good for discovering new music. But at home I use IE800. I just love that soundstage, treble extension...- Mr Makarov

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
IE800´s do have more detail and are overall more refined than SE846, if sound stage is what you want you will get a surprisingly wide one. I once had that itch/curiosity about IE800 and when I got them it was like end game feeling. By that I mean having them both is like end-game for me. IE800´s...- Mr Makarov

Have not heard DFR. But they pair very well with DFB providing more than enough volume and clear, detailed spacious sound (compared to headphone jack of laptops and smartphones).- Mr Makarov

Sennheiser IE800 vs. Shure SE846: Which one is superior in terms of price?
If you will listen mostly to those genres, while not on the go, and want lots of treble and air then IE800 are for you. They are very good for rock and metal. However, it seems like you describing something like Dunu Titan 1 IEMs and they very slightly warm, have less bass (are almost...- Mr Makarov

Opposite of X2?
I know what are you talking about. "I've noticed how my IEMs, the Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear, I have substantially better clarity than I would've ever achieved with my X2. When I'm listening to demanding music, such as complex orchestral stuff, it's become an almost nonsensical idea to even...- Mr Makarov

You also can try Sony (right on the photo) and Dunu (left) tips. Dunu tips probably are ones that will suit you better (not a bass heavy, relaxed sound). Sony tips are good too but more "bassy". Just my opinion/recommendation- Mr Makarov

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
I have a hard time...for EDM and vocal melodic trance I just can not pick HE400i over HE400 ("slightly" modded). Sound good but...not better. Srry. Sidegrade? I was just convinced that HE400i would destroy and humiliate the original HE400. But it seem to be more like a flavor thing. HE400i are...- Mr Makarov

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Hi everyone. After some time, the right side "thing" that holds the cup broke. Headband problem. And I was sure that there was some cheap quality fix to that. Found what I needed and after 10 min my HE400 revived. Works flawlessly. Less clamping force. Spent less than 40$. If someone is...- Mr Makarov

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
I do not know how to describe it exactly. But.If someone just bought SE846 after owning IE800 and are finding SE846 to be very inferior in SQ, they should try SE846 with IE800´s tips. It brings life to SE846 compared to all the stock tips I tried so far. Bass is punchier, instrument separation...- Mr Makarov

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
1000% agree with you on this one. Love IE800 for that treble, recessed but very detailed and natural mids and plenty of bass. Just love that soundstage and overall signature is exactly my cup of tea, my end game (for now...until IE800-S? arrive, probably). However, I have not heard IE800 with...- Mr Makarov

Denon ah-d600 review.
D600 are one of the best audiophile EDM-specific cans in my opinion. Much better than M100. If you value clarity. I can´t stand muddy sound in EDM (vocal melodic trance). M100 is just slightly better than Pioneer HDJ-2000 (in my personal opinion). D600 sounded definitely more natural in mid...- Mr Makarov
