Cayin HA-6A Class A KT88/EL34 Tube Headphone Amplifier
Hi all, Has it been determined that there is no alternative to the 22de4 rectification tubes, which can be used with the Ha-6a? Im just concerned with how relatively difficult they are to source, when compared to other rectification tubes.- munce31

Audio GD Master-11(Combination from Master 7 and Master 9)
I only keep mine on for 5 hours max. If there is an improvement to keeping the m11 on 24/7, then I would say that its diminishing returns at the cost to longevity of the amp.- munce31

Supposedly they're only doing this upgrade for this month only. Best to send an email to Audio-gd and confirm a time that will suit you.- munce31

Audio GD Master-11(Combination from Master 7 and Master 9)
Talk about microscopes, I have been using my HD800 with my M11. Now usually people would associate the HD800 with an analytical, cooler sound signature. And with this update to the firmware which makes the M11 slightly less warmer, you'd think that these changes would make the HD800 more-so...- munce31

Audio GD Master-11(Combination from Master 7 and Master 9)
Been doing more critical listening. Experiences have been positive so far. Originally I thought my HE-1000's were a little too laid back in sound signature. However, this update has changed that perception. Its now mightily dynamic, in particular the bass and sub-bass. Mids are more present...- munce31

Audio GD Master-11(Combination from Master 7 and Master 9)
I used 12.1. I asked on another forum about this and the general consensus was to use 12.1. Reasoning being compatibility issues with the blaster. But best to ask Kingwa.- munce31

On the back of the unit - located near the IEC power plug - there is a sticker with a number which begins with M11-XXXXXX, this is the serial number they are after. The update window is; Monday, Wednesday, Friday; and between 7 to 10 pm Chinese time (+8 GMT).- munce31

Eventually they'll reply back confirming the time. Near the allocated time, they will send you an email requesting the teamviewer ID and password. Provided that you've set everything up on your end correctly, then the update process should take no more than 5 mins.- munce31

I too just have had the update made to my M11. Coincidently I am using the SU-1 as well. Note I haven't cut the Amanero wire as outlined in the instructions - don't think this is necessary as I am using the SU-1 instead of the Amanero board. My initial impressions are good. Tight and...- munce31

Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)
I've got the M11 but I'm sure my question will relate to the M7 as well. With regards to the Amanero, the additional instruction supplied by Audio-gd specify that a cable on the front panel board be cut. My question is: If I have an Amanero USB board in my DAC but I am not using the...- munce31

It's odd that the size of Quartus on the Baidu drive is only 1.6GB as opposed to the 3.6GB on the Altera website. Are you sure its the right version? Btw I have found a way to download from Baidu without using the Baidu download software or registering an account.- munce31

The 'other' method is for those which aren't confident in flashing the firmware themselves. The USB blaster is absolutely required to flash the Cyclone II FPGA chip, so make sure you got it or else you wont be able to flash to the new firmware. Quartus comes in English.- munce31

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
Has anyone thought of creating their own earpads for the HE-1000? Since my existing earpads are a bit deformed, I figured it might be time to buy replacements. At the same time I could take apart my old ones and use the plastic frame as a basis for a DIY set of earpads. Design them with a...- munce31
