Rate The Last Movie You Watched
A Field in England (2013) 8/10 Beautifully shot movie with a great soundtrack. Intriguing and mesmerising for the biggest part, but it can be extremely boring as well. It begins rather comedic, but ends in horror and despair. One particular scene is extremely creepy:- Mink

Post the last thing you bought. Oh fun!
My first mechanical keyboard since 1986 (when I got a Commodore 64), the Logitech MX mechanical Mini. It types wonderful! This keyboard is universally disliked in the mechanical keyboard community (it may well be the Audio Technica ATH-M50X of mechanical keyboards), but I love this thing!- Mink

Spotify Premium - is it good enough?
My ears are getting older and older. A decade ago I already had great difficulty in hearing differences between a 160 kbps MP3 and a lossless file. Spotify sounds excellent, but so do YouTube Music and Apple Music. I do seem to favour Apple Music over Spotify, no matter if I use lossless ALAC or...- Mink

How many DACs do you own?
Four dedicated DACs. Two of them in daily use: Marantz HD-DAC 1 (Cirrus Logic CS4398 ) and Audio GD R2R 11. And somewhere tucked away in a closet: TEAC UD-301 (2 x Burr Brown PCM1795) and Musical Fidelity V-DAC II (Burr Brown DSD 1796) DACs inside CD players: TDA1549T (Marantz CD5000), 2 x...- Mink

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!
Hi Milus, It was just based on what I perceived to be more pleasant at the time, purely subjective. I don't know when I made that post? But life went on and I no longer have that EQ setting, nor have I used the K550's in a very long time. I still own them, they are classics in my perception and...- Mink

Audio-Technica ATH-R70x - In-Depth Review & Impressions
What does it mean "refined"? Does Audio Technica come with an updated model? Or is Apos going to do the 'refinement'? Googling refine and R70X only leads me to that Apos page...- Mink

Marantz HD-DAC1
I had bought a cable via Aliexpres, it now seems discontinued. Never used the cable anyways, I didn't find any use for it, I never needed nor wanted to connect my iPhone to the Marantz DAC. I think I only bought the cable to see if it would work...and it did. It probably still does, if I could...- Mink

Post the last thing you bought. Oh fun!
iPod classic 6 3rd version with 160GB, also named the 7th gen by many. iPod video 5.5, with 128GB flash memory Apparently there is this new hype going on with people starting to use old iPods again and 'dumb phones' instead of a smartphone. I bought the iPod classic, simply because I have...- Mink

iMac 24 inch M3 / Are the audio dropout issues that plagued the M1 Macs solved?
I am considering buying the latest iMac with the M3 chip. However, I am concerned about the audio dropout issues that apparently plagued the macs with the M1 and M2 chips. I haven't found any consensus online what is causing these issues, some think it is related to the chips used, other think...- Mink
