Thanks for dropping by and contributing! Definitely tip rolling is a good idea on the IT05! I haven't tried the DC Elite myself, but I've found as a general rule that iBasso IEMs and DAPs tend to have a good synergy together in most cases; not especially surprising if you think about it :)

Hello all! For anyone who's interested, I have just posted my Head-Fi exclusive (translation: I'm too lazy to run my own website lol) review of the IT05. You can find it by clicking on the following conveniently-included link: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/ibasso-it05.27178/reviews

Review by 'Layman1' on item 'iBasso IT05'

...the company and perhaps some of their previous releases; however in this case, I struggle to imagine there being a Head-Fi reader who is *not* already aware of iBasso and at least some of their products. This prolific manufacturer has been a leading light of quality Chinese audio products...

Hey, have sent you a private message, as I didn't want to derail the thread talking too much about WM1Z mods etc :)

Eletech Cables Official Impressions & Discussions Thread

It's been a while since I was able to purchase any new audio gear, but I've finally broken that drought in some style; I just bought a used Campfire Audio Trifecta on the Classifieds here, and ordered a new Eletech Raphael from a local retailer too :) Wondering if they'll go well together...

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

Absolutely; I'll be doing a lot of listening first with the stock cable! I was already planning to buy Raphael anyway because I've really liked the impressions and reviews I've been reading; it sounds like something that would fit my tastes and go well with some IEMs I own (or plan to own!)...

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

Well, that's encouraging, because, like @gazzington my main DAP is a Nayparm-modded WM1Z :raised_hands:  Can't wait to receive my Trifecta... happy days are hopefully very much on the way :)

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

...whilst scanning through the last few pages! Many thanks! Well, I'm an unashamed (audiophile) basshead, so I'm hoping it doesn't reduce the bass *too* much  But everything else sounds great; by coincidence, I'm a big mids, timbre and soundstage lover, so your descriptions are very...

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

Oh, and while I'm at it, has anyone tried Trifecta with the iBasso PB5 Osprey amp? :) I'd read on the PB5 thread here that some people thought it might not pair well with warm IEMs, so not sure whether it might be overkill with the Trifecta? Or maybe it just means double the analogue goodness...

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

Hello all, I am finally (barring any last-minute catastrophes!) about to become a member of the Trifecta club :raised_hands::smiley: I have had my eye on Eletech's Raphael cable for a while (for use with several IEMs I own, especially now that it has the interchangeable MMCX and 2-pin...

Well, technically both. There may be an Eletech fan out there somewhere who wants to order all 60 of these for themselves :D

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!

As far as I am aware, the people who were exhibiting the Campfire Audio products at London CanJam (Hifi-Headphones) are no longer a dealer for Campfire. So I too am very much hoping that Campfire will come and exhibit directly this year :)

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!

Whilst I'm at it, I'd like to also be the first here to give a heartfelt shout-out to another Campfire Audio product that I believe has really not received the love and praise it deserves. Step forward the Saber! Of the Campfire Audio products I've reviewed so far, I'd actually rank this as my...

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!

@CFA Chris and @KB I want to say to the Campfire Team what a joy it's been to receive and use your products. I've been fortunate enough to be given several Campfire IEMs in exchange for an honest review. I never take this privilege for granted and am hugely grateful and appreciative for this :)...

    Campfire Audio - Saber

Well, I can only give you my personal opinion of course; ultimately the decision will have to be based on your research and knowledge of your own personal preferences :) I do still use it, although bear in mind I've got TOTL IEMs (UM Mason Fusang and MEST Mk III for example), so naturally I...

A Nayparm-modded WM1Z was exactly what I used to demo the Trifecta at CanJam; good to know its a good match :)

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

Haha, not me, although obviously I wish it were! Just curious, but were the couple in question Asian (Malaysian guy and Thai girl, but both living in UK)? I met the couple I'm referring to whilst I was helping to man one of the Elise Audio desks. They were really fun to chat with, and the...

    CanJam London 2023 Impressions Thread

Just want to share some more impressions, this time of the Campfire Audio Trifecta (a brief edit here of a more extensive post over on the Trifecta thread). You know, I'm an unrepentant basshead. I like neutral reference sometimes, and more laid back things at other times, but there's always...

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

...more technical prowess than the Trifecta. I think two IEMs can have similar levels of technical performance, but different tunings can make you *perceive* one more noticeably than the other, if that makes sense! For those of you that have heard/owned both Xe6 and Trifecta, I'd love to hear...

...Xe6 and Kr5), so my memory of Rn6 is not as good as I would wish. I need to go back and have another listen to the Rn6 I think! Based on what I *can* remember, my thoughts would be as follows: Firstly they are both outstanding IEMs. You're not going to get a 'bad' IEM by making the 'wrong'...

...top brands are being released at $3k to $4k or more. So from that point of view, I do believe the Mk III still continues the tradition of offering *comparatively* superb value for money (with the disclaimer that 'value', especially in this hobby can be a crazy and subjective term!) :) Happy...
