Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
Not sure if its been covered here but I just ordered the blue colored ones; is the aluminum anodized or painted? if they are anodized I might just throw them in a coffee can with some oven cleaner removing the blue color and bring them to silver & then polish and clear spray them. I emailed...- AristoNYC

Less Muddy alternate to V Moda M100?
I bought the M100, loved the fit/finish but was dissapointed with the sound as it seemed muddy sounding to me. I listen to mostly rock and metal with some pop/acoustic style music. I don't need thick heavy bass but quick hitting bass would be good. I need the vocals and intruments to be clear...- AristoNYC

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
Thanks so much for your detailed response! I will definitely give these a try for a few weeks. I'm going to head to B&H and try a few others out. Well, as far as money not being a thing I think under $500 is ideal. Will the XL pads change the sound at all, or just comfort? as for the...- AristoNYC

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
Ok, so I probably made the wrong decision purchasing these or I'm not allowing enough burn in time. I listen to a lot of rock/metal with some rap/pop here and there, almost no electronic. I have been listening to the band A Day To Remember and it sounds terrible in my opinion. Granted...- AristoNYC

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Thanks for your input. I went and ordered the Flux from Amazon since I wanted to lock in on the price of $25 and I can still search since they aren't shipping yet (not in stock). $25 seems like a good price. If I end up getting something else I can cancel these or keep them and use them with...- AristoNYC

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
...the Shures worth the $30 increase over the UM1's? Westone UM1 ($70) I am open to spend more if necessary but I would prefer not to. ** I'm leaning towards the UM1 for $70 from Amazon. It is a bit more than I was looking to spend but the reviews are good. Any reason why I...- AristoNYC

E09/E17 setup, for HD650?
Thanks for the information. I will look into that. To be completely honest, I'm not too knowledgeable about the chips and such so I'll assume that the 15.32 is better in that regard.- AristoNYC

E09/E17 setup, for HD650?
Thanks for the reply, I was just about to update my post as I thoroughly enjoy the HD650 better. I will unload the DT880's. Without reading too much into the reviews, what sort of improvement will the Audio-GD bring over my current set up? Thanks again.- AristoNYC

E09/E17 setup, for HD650?
...Should I keep the HD650s or the 880's (would sell the one I don't keep). I will be mostly listening to ALL types of music except classical, *Rock, Metal, R&B etc.* I will watch some movies. I plan on keeping my set up desktop computer only. Thank you in advance for your response. ...- AristoNYC

Headphones you regretted buying the most
Skull Candy FMJ (only paid $10 brand new) but I like the cheap Monoprice earbuds better. V-Moda crossfades, way too bass heavy for me. Might work for some people but I like hearing the highs and not just all bass.- AristoNYC

...to drive in the 250 version vs 32. Had some trouble even with a Zune / E17 setup. I can only imagine how difficult the 600 version would be. *it was a loud store so the open design fair better in my home* ATH-M50's were another favorite of the demo's (price to performance wise)...- AristoNYC

Dt880 premium vs pro?
Quote: I am almost positive that they are the same headphone but differently styled *one has a tighter clamping factor & a coiled cable. If anything I think the pro would be worse on you due to more pressure on your ears.- AristoNYC

Best Headphones for Hip Hop? Under $200.
do you plan on listening mainly at home or want portable as well? prefer open or closed? if you like bass I personally would recommend something by V-Moda but I'm no audiophile. I ordered some M50's, I want to see how they are, I will be doing the removable cable mod. P.S...- AristoNYC

Just listened to some Fostex T50RPs today... WOW!
trying to search through all these replies. Just ordered the T50RP's of eBay now I need the parts to mod. Anyone know the best sources to get the stuff needed? seems like a waste to buy large amounts when only small amounts are needed to mod (i.e. dynamat)- AristoNYC

The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
I think I am going to go with the 250pro's as I don't think my E17 (w/ or w/o E9) will really do the 600's justice. Plus it seems that there isnt too much difference between the two in regards to overall sound quality.- AristoNYC
