Hi everyone.
I currently have the following:
FIIO E09 / E17 combo
HD650

I really like the 880s but I feel like they lack a bit of bass (is this just a problem w/ open cans?).

I just received the HD650's direct from Sennhesier for $296 (price is the only reason I bit, they had a sale).

a few should I's (please let me know your reasoning behind your response):
Should I upgrade my amp set up?
Should I buy a closed headphone for better bass & keep the 880's
Should I keep the HD650s or the 880's (would sell the one I don't keep).

I will be mostly listening to ALL types of music except classical, *Rock, Metal, R&B etc.*
I will watch some movies.
I plan on keeping my set up desktop computer only.

Thank you in advance for your response.

I would assume you yourself would know which of the two headphones (DT880 & HD650) your ears like better.
For $300, you could get the Audio-GD NFB-15.32 DAC/amp, sell off the E9/E17.

Thanks for the reply, I was just about to update my post as I thoroughly enjoy the HD650 better. I will unload the DT880's.

Without reading too much into the reviews, what sort of improvement will the Audio-GD bring over my current set up?

Thanks again.

The 15.32 uses dual WM8741 DAC chips, the E17 one WM8740 DAC chip.
The 15.32 comes with 32-bit/384Khz USB input, I know the E17 and E09 do not.
The 15.32 has the option of a TXCO upgrade, the E17 & E09 do not.
I'm fairly sure the 15.32 has a more powerful headphone amplifier, but do not have all the specs handy to compare.

Thanks for the information. I will look into that.
To be completely honest, I'm not too knowledgeable about the chips and such so I'll assume that the 15.32 is better in that regard.
