I use the line out regularly. When I am on the go, I attach a Little Bear B4-X to the line out, and when I’m listening late at night (can’t use my loudspeakers because the kids are sleeping), I attach an xDuoo TA-66 to the line out. -Ed

Okay, then that may be the case. I only have about 5 or 6 playlists in Apple Music that I have downloaded to the DAP (lossless/high-res lossless), the rest of my Apple Music playlists/music I stream it from the cloud at the time of playback either over Wi-Fi or off my phone’s hotspot. -Ed

Apple Music seems fine to me on my HiBy R6 Pro II, even though my primary mobile is an iPhone 15 Pro Max and my primary tablet is an iPad Pro M4 11”. The only feature missing from the DAP is the Sound Check option, but I only use that in the car anyway. -Ed

The nice thing about RU7 is that it has a Line Out mode which lets you cleanly pair it with an external amp for more oomph. I frequently pair my RU7 with a Little Bear B4-X (rolled with MUSES02 op-amps) for extra oomph and some tube warmth. -Ed

Are you using All to 256? Try All to 128 or even 64; the lower resolution settings draw less power. The issue is primarily with iPhones that have Lightning ports—they don’t give enough juice. 15th generation iPhones and DAPs that use USB-C ports are okay with any setting. -Ed

I saw the specification as 50ohms minimum for TA-66. Cannot remember where. That is why I decided to give the M1070C a try, as I figured I would test the limits of that specification out. -Ed

Listening to the M1070C now with TA-66 using stock cables and I must admit the experience is fantastic. Even though these are closed-back, I feel imaging is superior to my HD 6XX. Sound is just more spacious, not so inside my head feeling. There does not appear to be a compatibility issue...
