Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
Plastic. In any case, I decided to give the Bathys a second chance and compare them to the Azurys. It's not even close, the Azurys is so much better, it still baffles me how everyone loves the Bathys when it's this bad sound wise. The Azurys sounds miles better. Technically-wise it's not even...- FinalAd

Comment by 'FinalAd' on listing 'Focal Bathys Dune [EU]'
Tempted to give them a second chance and compare them to the Azurys, that Dune color still looks beautiful... I'll reach out again whenever my current pair gets sold, gotta be reasonable heh! GLWS!- FinalAd

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
You need to pull them, I'd recommend grabbing them from the back with your fingers pushing from inside, they should come off relatively easily. Note that clipping them back on is a bit more annoying however.- FinalAd

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
I did an AB swap between the Azurys and the Stellia next to a fan and yeah it doesn't isolate nearly as much, the fan was quite audible while wearing the Azurys. Wearing them truly feels like you're wearing nothing, be it weight or isolation. However I mostly think it's due to the pads, as the...- FinalAd

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
I forgot to mention it mostly because it's quite unimpressive, soundstage is smaller than the bigger Focals which aren't really known for being wide themselves. Feels like a closed-back for sure. Imaging seems decent, instruments are well separated from what I've heard and placement seemed...- FinalAd

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
I'm personally gonna run my Azurys with a BTR15 to get a Bathys equivalent without DSP (and ANC but that's a worthy compromise for a unrestricted driver and therefore better sound). Will be curious to see your comparison! Regarding your question, that's unfortunately not possible. While they...- FinalAd

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
Received my pair today, so far I'm quite pleased! First impressions: - Insanely light! They dissapear when worn, truly impressive! It does make them feel cheaper to the touch but that's okay. - Materials are fine. This new fabric feels slightly rough when handled, and I don't like how it...- FinalAd

Comment by 'FinalAd' on listing 'Focal Stelliance (Radiance with BE drivers) + genuine Focal Stellia pads'
They do, I find them to sound closer to a Radiance overall, while keeping the key features of the Stellia which is the insane technical abilities. The main selling point is the bass tho, it's quite unique to this set and is the best I've heard so far. Thank you! I do, but they're not really...- FinalAd

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
IIRC only the drivers are made in France on those, the chassis itself is made in China and they're assembled over there, which is why they're not labelled "Made in France" unlike the others. Could've changed with those new releases but at least that's how it worked with the Bathys and they all...- FinalAd

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
Quite interested in the Azurys for travel purposes. The Bathys was quite disappointing in that regard, the DSP wasn't great and it felt like it restricted the driver's potential too much. With a good BT amp DAC this could become killer for sure, I also really dig the color scheme! As for the...- FinalAd

Selling my pair of Focal Stelliance. This specific unit was made by myself and seems to be the first one being sold in Europe. It combines the superior chassis of the Radiance with the Stellia's insane Beryllium drivers to create the ultimate Focal closed-back! I used a brand-new Radiance and...- FinalAd

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
Interesting, thanks for testing! For me the song crackles way more than when I was listening to it on my Stellia or XM3. It's not too troublesome since it's so loud anyway, but I may still try to swap it just to confirm if it's supposed to happen or not. Thanks again!- FinalAd

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
The easiest song to make it do this is probably Ephemeral by Geoxor, but like I said it happens on pretty much all bassy songs.- FinalAd

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
Oh I'm aware that it's too loud, it's just that I find it weird it happens at all when that wasn't an issue on any ANC pair of headphones nor any Focal pairs I've owned. Any EDM song with deep rumbling bass does it for me. I've also tested on songs with high highs and it happened too, albeit to...- FinalAd

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
Received my pair today and I must say I'm quite impressed, they're really great! However, I've noticed that when listening to bass heavy music over 70% volume the Bathys can't keep up and starts to crackle? I suppose it's due to the sensible mics but I've never heard this on any other pair of...- FinalAd

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
Oh I wasn't specifically aiming this at ya! I was just pointing out that the hardware can handle it, it's just a matter of tuning and well, liking EQ or not. :)- FinalAd

Agreed, well at least with the stock sound signature. You can certainly make the Z1R sound quite fun with a bit of EQ.- FinalAd

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
Quite the interesting journey indeed! I should've been more specific but I did not start mine with the Stellia. I started with the Elegia and I upgraded as time went on, until reaching the Stellia (and now the Z1R). I've had the pleasure to listen to the Elegia, the Elex, the Clear MG, the...- FinalAd

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
Well, I mainly wanted to try something else as I've only owned Focals since the start of my journey. I'm also a huge basshead, I was running my Stellia using a FiiO Q3 with bass boost on (Which is like a 6dB boost on the low end), and it was starting to show the limits of their driver design...- FinalAd

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
Having recently done the switch from the Stellia to the Z1R, I can already tell you that when it comes to bass, the Z1R won't be what you're looking for unless you're willing to EQ. Even then, it won't be as punchy as the Stellia due to how different their drivers are designed and work. I'm...- FinalAd
