Liquid Silicone Ear Tips HS20 Is Officially Released!
It's much easier for me: I need Large, always. The question for me is whether the large will be large enough. There isn't a medium-sized eartip on the planet that I'll be able to achieve a good seal with, so anything smaller than a large is just not gonna fly. It would be nice if they sold the...- mrdeadfolx

Liquid Silicone Ear Tips HS20 Is Officially Released!
They look great, but I won't be trying them as long as they're sold in variety packs only. No sense in buying pairs of S/M/L when I only wear L.- mrdeadfolx

Forte Ears to Unveil Macbeth: A New Flagship IEM
Looks very interesting, that faceplate has got to be the most "artsy" faceplate I've ever seen. Lots of mysteries about the driver configuration for me, particularly the "proprietary" sub bass BA driver and the bone conduction drivers (since I've never heard either). I'd love to know the...- mrdeadfolx

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I couldn't agree more, the "true" successor to the SE846 (I don't count the V2 with the red filter as a reset to the life cycle of the SE846) might be the most overdue IEM of all time. I've had them since they first came out (upgrading from the Shure SE535, and Shure E5C before that), back when...- mrdeadfolx

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
The Go Pods definitely could look better, and I also believe they could be louder. The app also sucks and is useless, but the part that matters to me is the SQ, and they really nail that. The volume is also kind of a big deal to me too. They reach my preferred listening level, but juuust barely...- mrdeadfolx

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Thanks dude! I love the way the setup looks. So I have looked up other sets of wireless adapters, and I have a set of FiiO UTWS5 wireless adapters, and I love them. The trouble is, they won't work with the Pentaconn connection without an adapter. I would say it is worth it to buy a set and then...- mrdeadfolx

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
I know that both the Annihilators and Go Pods get a lot of love around here, but man, do they ever complement each other nicely. This is probably going to be my end-game on-the-go setup for a long time :) I’m not sure we’re 100% “there yet” with fully wireless IEMs, but this setup makes me...- mrdeadfolx

Elysian Annihilator 2023
Awesome, thanks for the prompt response, I'll be picking up a 3-pack to try out. I have a few sets of Azla Xelastecs and Crystals kicking around if they don't work out for me, I'll give my impressions back here once I've had a chance to try everything out. Thanks again! :)- mrdeadfolx

Elysian Annihilator 2023
Pardon the quote of a year-old post, but I'm interested in these tips as my 2023 Annihilators are currently on their way to me. Question: Can these tips be bought in packs of all one-size (I usually use L or XL tips), or do they only sell in S/M/L multi-packs? TIA :)- mrdeadfolx

Thieaudio Monarch MKIII impressions, reviews, and pictures thread
These Xelastec II's fit the MKIII's nozzle? I have a few sets of these but thought the bore was too small and they'd be too tight, so I've been using regular Xelastecs, which seem to work really well.- mrdeadfolx

I just ordered a set of MKIIIs yesterday in black with "Deep Dungeons" faceplates, and I'm salivating at the pics of both of yours! @Bojinx, could I bother you to show a few more pics of your set? I believe you have the exact configuration I chose :)- mrdeadfolx

Very nice review. I just ordered a pair of MKIIIs from Thieaudio this morning (I went with a custom shell - black with "deep dungeons" faceplate), and this review has me even more excited. I hope my experience is the same as @TibiR in terms of waiting, I think the Thieaudio site said universal...- mrdeadfolx

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I'd be surprised to learn that they're exactly the same, and will be surprised to see if they appear the same side-by-side. The tips are slightly tapered, so I'm now wondering if they're "15mm" at the end of the taper (the narrowest point of the tip). We'll get a conclusive answer on...- mrdeadfolx

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
The inner bore (the rubber inner piece) is the same size as Shure foam tips, meaning they fit Shure IEMs, but the outer foam is much larger and denser. If Shure's Professional foam tips came in an "XXL + long" size, I think they'd look something like this. I don't believe the IsoTunes come in...- mrdeadfolx

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
Man, I don't know if you've tried IsoTunes large foam tips, but if you haven't, I really recommend them. I have very large ear canals and have a hell of a time finding tips that will achieve a proper seal. These are longer and larger than any other foam tips I've tried, and I can get a very...- mrdeadfolx

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I love the SE846 V2s paired with both the iFi Go Pods. Great sound synergy and loads of power. If you're looking for a wireless solution for your SE846s that isn't the grossly underpowered Shure TWS, you can't go wrong with the Go Pods.- mrdeadfolx

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
I've been using a couple of different "Wearable" (ear loop) amps with my usually-wired IEMs, and I'll never go back. I'm using iFi Go Pods paired with Westone Mach 80s, and FiiO UTWS5s paired with my good ol' Shure SE846 V2s. I'm very satisfied with these 2 wireless solutions, and it'll only...- mrdeadfolx
