The Headphone Driver Pics Thread
The only beyer for beyer pad roll I did was the 1770 coolmax pads on t5p.II. It's always nice to see all the possibilities though, even though I'm sure some of them won't work out. Even with the older velours i think they varied slightly .... e.g T1/t5 pads, t90, 1770 , 1990...- SHAMuuu

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
Couldn't help yourself huh XD I wonder if you're like the 2nd most Beyer obsessed person on here ( I would imagine that Tech Agent fella would be number 1) Also, is there a more stable way to get the drivers out without like getting them to "pop out" . It's the only method i've seen with the...- SHAMuuu

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
which Fostex models are taking your attention away from the 770 X LE ... and why? That 770 Pro X LE really POPs out amongst the other models.- SHAMuuu

Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
I use regular wet wipe once in a while to keep them "clean". Better if you remove them first, as to not get moisture on your drivers. I believe you can wash them gently with soap and water if they get really bad without too much damage.- SHAMuuu

Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
Anyone else try 1540 pads on them? I forgot about it (as I had done this before months ago) For some reason over time, the signature bothered me more and more as I switch back between 580 and 660S. In other words, my ears probably just liked 580s better. But the 1540 pads + 660S don't bother...- SHAMuuu

Fostex TH808 :: Impressions Thread
when I heard th610, it was more like a surprise that it was more balanced than the V shape, to the point where you're like ok... "this is balanced" relative to the typical Denon/Fostex sound. Not so much that it completely deviates from it's Fostex biodyna'ness Studio headphones in general are...- SHAMuuu

The Beyerdynamic DT 480 discussion thread (impressions, mods etc.)
Only took till 2024 for someone to make a review (with sound impressions) XD I'm aware there was another review, but it was more "appreciation" than in depth sound reviews Many years on, and I still enjoy tweaking em :) 25ohm 480 with the white donut. / 200ohm 480 with yaxi. Pads used at...- SHAMuuu

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
Does the 770 pro X have that new thick front filter cover or the plain black foam disc of the past? Sometimes I think with slightly V shaped sharp headphones, they are meant to be played at lower volumes and not cranked too high. I do recall I doubled the black foam discs on the 990 pro 250. :D- SHAMuuu

Oh forgot to compliment your youtube reviews! Really had a good few laughs watching some of them. Couldn't help but wonder if you'll ever review that DX1000 :P , I bet you don't want to open that up again. Though IIRC you had some pics of them earlier in this thread. Also was cool you did the...- SHAMuuu

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
Really do wonder what other Anniversary models, if any, will be released. You would think they would make a Stellar 45 into the dt150 or something IIRC, the Dt150 was probably a more superior overall closed back to the dt770. And they used pretty much the safe driver just in different baffle...- SHAMuuu

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
This whole 660S story is becoming comical. I only say this because only the ones with the "Sennheiser eye" will be in the know. I feel for those who end up getting a "bargain" on those 660S with perforated logo and indented L & R logos thinking they will be in audio heaven, only to receive...- SHAMuuu

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
The 80'ohmer seemed to have more people liking them than hating them, and still continues to have fans. I'm still not sure which is the best beyer closed back of all time. Surely, someone has heard them all and can rank them :P Is this stellar 45 better than t5p gen II/III? This is what I am...- SHAMuuu

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X Anniversary model
What is the fit and finish like on this 100th Anniversary model? Are the tolerances tighter on the sliders so they are not a potential fail point like on the previous 770 models? Also, is the wire noticeable being single sided (in the context of weight of cable)- SHAMuuu

Does your 660S sound better with new pads, or as they get flatter? Also, have you compared with any of the 580/600/650 + CC ring?- SHAMuuu

Nice to see all the 580s. I use the modern chassis only for clamp, and new cable, but i still keep the 580 Heart. Vintage Sennheiser heart. This is gen II driver. It bothered me to change the looks since it was a flat plate. Though it is reversible. ...and i carried over the flat plate XD- SHAMuuu
