    TOTL Headphones Comparison

Abyss AB-1266 Phi TC, xurrentkynthenflsfhsuoo form abyss headphones, for hip hop and rap I'd say the TC is the best headphones money can buy outside of the shangri-la and Orpheus ( both of which I've not heard but are crazy expensive). But for rap and hip hop genre the Tc excels. These days I...

heh, decisions decisions :D. Unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to try. Ive listened on both high end 2 channel speakers and headphones, vinyl is great on both. And I have some pretty resolving headphones in the way of Abyss Phi TC.

Yea there's a substantial difference from well recorded 180g pure analog records, and the standard digitally sourced records. I routinely expand my collection of thst quality of record, they sound truly amazing.

I'm terms of high end dacs, outside of the schiit yggdrasil I use, I've tested with anthem flagship receiver, and trinov processor, neither of the 3 could compare to vinyl for me, I do however have plans to trade my yggy in for the upcoming v2 of the ps audio dac, so I'll see how that improves...

Yea, what he said i've experienced myself, i even carried my vinyl player to my brother's all-digital rig, one he's accustomed too, high end 9H $35k speakers, and he said no way would the vinyl outperform his digital, after we spun up the first record, he had no choice but to admit "yes, this...

    A JOURNEY INTO VINYL

I've just unsealed a couple of records, and just going through the artwork, track material, handling the record, everything is part of the experience. It's an intimate touch you just don't get with digital that I really appreciate. It's more than just "listening to music"

I've not listened to everything i've recently acquired yet, but i can say this. If i had to chose my 3 best sounding albums, it would be: 1. Grover Washington - Winelight (Nautilus Version) [I have a regular non-nautilus pressing, and the nautilus all analog version is just amazing) 2. Stevie...

there is no hum or pops on my rig, mild static on certain records though. and the entire process you described for playing a record, I.e. finding it, taking it out the sleeve , placing it on the tt , lowering the needle etc, is all apart of the experience, and everytime I play a record I enjoy...

    A JOURNEY INTO VINYL

hey, my first venture into vinyl was on a $150 audio technica turntable with a built in phono stage, so I hooked thst up directly to my headphone amp and off I went. and even at that price point I found the vinyl sounded significantly better than my schiit yggdrasil dac costing $2600 usd. The...

    2. Vinyl, 70hrs Prima Burn In Now that I've allowed some time for the Stock Prima to burn in (70hrs at this point), it's time for another listen. Things very much are improved, the amps seem to open up more, they sound more lively whiles still retaining the sweet harmonic tone these amps...

    TRANSITION TO SPEAKERS, TUBE MAGIC!

    1. PrimaLuna Unboxing / First Listen So I'm quite familiar with the Persona 3F and 9H speakers on some emotiva amps and various sources. I found the much cheaper 3F + my rega kit to outperform the 9H without the rega, so I always wanted to get the rega paired back with the 9H to see what the...

    TRANSITION TO SPEAKERS, TUBE MAGIC!

TRANSITION TO SPEAKERS, TUBE MAGIC! INTRODUCTION I've been a headphone listener for the past 2 decades, starting with my very first pair of hifi headphones the Grado SR60. Since then I've crept up the line of absurdly priced gear all the way up to what I consider my end-game headphone stack...
