DROP + GRELL OAE1
Can't help but think of when the Audioquest Nighthawk came out. Many people really disliked it but for those who liked it, it was something special. Certainly not neutral or "correct" in any way. For me it was the last HP I really enjoyed (the NH Carbon). Ran it balanced on a (Mk1 version)...- krenzler

Considering how relatively many (in this "little" thread) are mentioning a lack of adjustability as a real problem (especially given how important positioning is with the driver design) it really makes you wonder how such a seemingly glaring oversight (given they are now looking to come out with...- krenzler

I think Mr. Grell needs to consider putting a slip in the box (as the first thing you see) with some text explaining the importance of pushing the cables until the click. To avoid potential silly returns. Seems like a thing.- krenzler

Unveiled: Meet the HD 620S
I know it was at the request of the OP but seems silly to have closed the discussion thread in the headphones category and then put all discussion on this model in this sponsor corner of the forums? I mean it's fine I guess - just a bit inconsistent.- krenzler

Man, I wish more HP manufacturers would understand this simple fact. Sennheiser made the HD650 headband like that for a reason way back in 2003. Certain headshape types (me included) easily develop a hot-spot on the top of the head. Many HP makers seem ignorant of this fact.- krenzler

Aregina's measurements seem to suggest this needs a few firmware updates to fix a few issues - like an ANC downgrade from MTW3?- krenzler

New Dali iO-12 ANC Headphones – Impressions Thread
With most of these wireless ANC headphones it makes little sense to run them passively as the whole tuning of the drivers and complete package is based around DSP. Some audiophiles may think that passive with better external gear is more clean/correct but that is missing the point wholly. It's a...- krenzler

You can update firmware on the IO-4/6 models (Windows PC) so I don't see why that would't be available on IO-12 as well. https://8572466.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hubfs/8572466/Documents/Firmware/DALI%20IO/DALI_IO_Firmware_update_tool.pdf- krenzler

You may want to consider the just released Dali IO-12 too. Reviews should be coming soonish. There's also a Dali headphones thread here.
