Well, there's the input selector switch; then the DAC settings switches which I recognise from the Symphony; Crossfeed settings and mode; and a 'tonal balance' switch - what does that do??

The GS-1000 is quite a different beast from the RS-1. It's also very picky with amps, I don't actually know how your amps will fare - hopefully a bit of searching the forums might yield some impressions. I think it would be quite easy to be wowed by the soundstage with the GS-1000 at first...
