I was trying to buy a mini xlr male connector and came upon this.  The description says "Tiny 3-pole male xlr connector."  I am hoping tiny means mini. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed a mini?

Has anyone tried modding these cans? I was planning to buy some but was really wanting to replace that 10 ft cable that it comes with. I don't see a lot of senn hd 280 mods and thought maybe it was because it was difficult to open up.

I have the Grado SR-60's and for my budget... well, I'm not really too sure how much "a lot" is, but I do not want to spend too much. I really don't need the top of the line equipment, but at the same time I also do not want to invest in crappy stuff. I'm hoping this is making sense...

I've finally built enough courage to stat my journey to begin modding my Grado. I have some knowledge on soldering, but am very inexperienced. Any recommendations on what cables and jacks I should get will be deeply appreciated. And I'm trying to make it detachable.

This thread has fully inspired me to mod my SR60's. Can you please recommend what kind of cables and cable jacks I should get in order to make it detachable? I'm totally new at this but do have some knowledge about soldering.

Has anyone attempted on making earpads using some kind of memory foam? Or any sort of earpads that are VERY soft and more comfortable? I'm not talking about the Sennheiser hd-414 earpads, but much softer. I was thinking somewhat similar to the Sony MDR-XB500 (extra bass) earpads. Or something...

I was looking at the Sony MDR-XB500 ear pads, and was very curious if it was possible to add those ear pads on the grados. Has anyone attempted this yet? If it is possible, how would you go about to do this?
