Oh yes.. a metal base pair would do nicely for Xmas. As this crazy year slowly winds to a conclusion, I now have a bit more time to indulge in my pleasures. No matter if it is the Abyss, Auteur or even my cheapo HD560S, the GEL3N sounds fantastic with everything.- Sound Trooper

Hi Joe, Hope that you are well too. I’m still “surviving” with the stuff which I currently own and have not been seeing much reason to change after getting the Dave. The GEL3N still pairs beautifully with the Abyss and Auteur, couldn’t help thinking that the GEL3N is the best purchase I have...- Sound Trooper

Ah ha.. maybe I misread your post. The only new headphone which I bought was the HD560S. The Dave killed my desire to try different electronics, I honestly don’t think I can get any better than then Dave.- Sound Trooper

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
I’ve joined the HD800 gang with my recently new-old purchase. Sounds phenomenal directly out of a Dave and it is a pleasure for long listening sessions. From what I am hearing, the HD800 has a slightly warm-neutral sound signature and a very lifelike sound stage. Bass, thou not the most...- Sound Trooper

Chord 2Go & 2Yu Wired/Wireless Network streamer and S/PDIF adaptor - Official thread
I was initially keen to add the 2go to my Hugo2 as it would be a perfect roon end point for my 2nd system, however after reading the numerous complaints about software stability I decided to hold off and look towards another direction. In place of the 2go, I bought a sms-200 Neo and it has...- Sound Trooper

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Does anyone know the output impedance of the HP out of the Dave? I have been really enjoying my high impedance headphones (ZMF Auteur & HD 6XX) directly out of the Dave. The Auteur particularly has a nice sense of transparency as well as musicality when driven directly from the Dave.- Sound Trooper

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Well I think the Dave vs Bartok debate will continue to go on, but my opinion is that everyone of us listens differently and hence prefers different things. I had a very brief demo of the Bartok a couple of months ago and felt that it was really good but it didn't really blew my socks off. Given...- Sound Trooper

you are right about the bass, it somehow manages to be more “organic” sounding than the TT2+Blu mk2 combo.- Sound Trooper

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
I've spent a better part of 3 weeks with my Dave now and it is proving my decision correct for selling the TT2 & Blu mk2. On paper the Dave loses out to the TT2 on pure driving power but in actual fact I do not really think there is much difference. The only headphone which I had to crank the...- Sound Trooper

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
I think it is a rather unfair comparison, the Dave is meant to be an ultimate expression of Chord’s DAC technology while the Hugo2 was conceived to be a transportable solution. However if we really want to pick on the differences, I would say the most noticeable thing about the Dave’s...- Sound Trooper

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Well, it took 2 trips to the post office and now I finally have the Dave with me. And boy does it perform! The Dave is many magnitudes more musical than my previous Blu mk2 + hugoTT2 setup. I am really enjoying the headphone out as well, it drives my auteur, elear and LCD-3 wonderfully.- Sound Trooper
