Where are you located that the atom is 200? Here in the states it’s 99 dollars

So far it looks like things in my range are Sennheiser hd6xx Akg k7xx Hifiman 400i or 4xx Monoprice monolith m560 I’ve kinda gave up on them being closed back if I can get a good amount of sound and them give me a decent amount of volume off the Magni/Modi I just bought today.

bought some Beyerdynamic custom pro yesterday waiting on them to come in, still looking to upgrade the amp though im still looking at Schiit and JDS Labs stacks though. I like the look at feel of Schiit but everything I've read states JDSis the better sounding stack with a better amp setup.

i highly doubt any amps for headphones are 1 ohm rated

i feel for the reliability and what your getting with the unibody contruction and everything most of thier computers are very competitive. hell mac minis are still 599 and would serve most peoples daily needs

how are you guys quantifying that apple is overpriced?

monitor is supposed to mean that they are linaer through thier frequency response.    The Audio Technicas in your list only have two models and thats because ones straight corded and the other is curled other then that they are the same.

So i just purchased the M50's , didnt get a great deal but was 130 after shipping and california sales tax. hoping these things give me what im looking for, or i'll have to resell them and look for somethign else
