I have 3.5mm to RCA cables coming in today and can skip the D03K and just use the computers internal DAC to try that out. I have contacted Schiit and they said for DT990 600 Ohms a Tube amp might be a better choice since they are very power hungry. Something like a lyr.

The output of the computer can affect the output of Jotunheim? Currently computer is sending the signal through coax spdif (I am using a standard single RCA cable) to a very small dac called FiO Taishan that I bought for $20 a couple years back.

Exactly, there is a guy out there who is saying NFB-11.28 is the most perfect amp/dac combo ever that it is basically flawless. Than there is a reddit thread saying ADG stuff are crap and they provide waveforms to prove their point.

Well microphone does sound great but as I said earlier but these guys are professionals where I am pretty sure there is a sound engineer sitting behind the curtain mixing and adjusting signals etc. so its probably not just because of the microphone.
