  You should be able to use the ring from the old pads I think. Unless you were planning to put them on some other headphone that is.

I've decided to keep the 400i. It really took some time to get used to the sound, was not really impressed at all at first. Have been using them for 2 weeks now and they have really grown on me so I will keep using them, just not this pair :)

Not right now but I can use it with my hifiman re-0 IEMs without this trouble, noise only starts with volume above 50% with those and that would not be a very comfortable listening experience anyway lol.
