QUAD ERA-1 Thread
After having these Cans for about a year I can say with certainty that they truly deliver, blows my previous Dt 1770 (and WH-1000XM3, but then I don't use them for the sound quality) out of the water... Currently driving them with a Qudelix 5k, anyone else doing the same? Really enjoy the...- zergslayer

QUAD ERA-1 Thread
Hi! I recently decided to gift myself (being the time for it and all) the Quad Era-1, but I have a dilemma. I found an ad for them used in neighbouring country (Denmark, live in Sweden) for about 240€, but that is sight unseen, not the original cable (homemade ones instead), some small...- zergslayer

Ah no issues there, as I mentioned in my OP I got a pair of WH-1000XM3 for that kind of activity 😊- zergslayer

Something to keep in mind I guess. Atleast the store has a 30 day try at home, free return shipping if I find I don't like them in the end. And sure, I'll buy them all up for you guys if you sponsor a plain ticket and hotel stay, smuggle them in for you 😉- zergslayer

HifiMan Sundara vs Quad Era-1 vs DT 1990 Pro
True, but that seems like an issue for quite a lot of the ones I've looked at, not unique to the Quads 😅- zergslayer

Well, more like 410, but just about. If you're in Europe you can find them on hifi-freaks website, seems they got 36 units left.- zergslayer

HifiMan Sundara vs Quad Era-1 vs DT 1990 Pro
Since i can get the Era-1 for about 400€, just 70 more than the Sundara and the same as the 1990's, they would be your recommendation then?- zergslayer

HifiMan Sundara vs Quad Era-1 vs DT 1990 Pro
Hi! I am currently on the look out for a new pair of headphones with a budget of around 400€, but the ever present question of what to get plagues me. My recent history of 'phones includes: DT 770 -> DT 1770 (unfortunately dead) -> WH-1000XM3 (current). While the sound quality isn't the...- zergslayer

ATH-W5000 help
Mainly going to be playing flac from my Samsung s6 and laptop. My budget for a dac/amp would be around 200-300 eur. The offer i found was for a used W5000 in excellent condition for about 4500 sek, or 470 eur. If you think the W5000 is a bad alternative, would the DT-1770 be a better upgrade...- zergslayer
