Sorry I wasn't clear about that. I took the LED out and tested from virtual ground to V+ and V-. The tutorial says that they should be within 0.1V of each other, and they are not. I tried to clean up some of my soldering and that helped a little, but they're still off. Any other suggestions?

I have a pair of the BX5As a they don't hiss at all for me. Here's my setup Onboard sound -> mini to XLR -> KRK RP10s (sub) -> balanced XLR -> BX5a I have the speakers plugged into a standard power strip.

I have one of these that I use with my BX5As: http://www.krksys.com/index2.php?cat...ge=rokit_rp10s I do mini->dual XLR between my sound card and the amp, then XLRs to each of the monitors. The amp is a bit much for these speakers, but I don't mind being able to turn it up to 11 (:
