Recently, i decide to purchase a pair of Shure SE846, as you should probably know that this piece is expensive: $999 for a brand new one. And i am just wondering what is the average lifespan of these kind of IEMs, because I will be extremely frustrated if my precious Shure broke within 5 years...

The Sennheiser HD555's have a bit of the open sound feature you're looking for, but they might be a couple of bucks over the value of your headphones. I checked their price a while ago, so I'm not sure how much they are now, but just letting you know for more options.

For me, my personal preference was the Shure SE 846, i love the base of it so much. So what is your favourite IEM? Let's discuss about it.
