Yes ST version is superior to STX version. If you go to Asus again, go to  ST version because it has some improvements and a expansion possibility (with H6 expansion soudcard)   However, here in Portugal, Asus Xonar Essence ST Deluxe in not easy to get. The same goes if you want to buy H6...
