I think I may have killed my IEMs when I attempted to clean them

Quote: Thank you for the advice, I will try it if Denon themselves will not have a recommended solution for me.   Quote:   That's an ingenious idea! The company should know best how it's earphones are made and may provide a good advice which considers their experience with...

I think I may have killed my IEMs when I attempted to clean them

That grill is so tight, I would need a microscopic pin to poke it.   Damn, I really got myself into trouble this time. Is there anything which can be done with hydrogen peroxide?

That mesh is unfortunately unremovable. Is there a way to dissolve the earwax and see if that is it?

I think I may have killed my IEMs when I attempted to clean them

Hello all,   Yesterday I ran into a problem. It may be big, it may be small, I don't really know. However, it is a problem. The thing is, that my Denon AH-C710s were beginning to have wax buildup on the tips, so I decided to take some cotton swabs and clean those tips. The foolish part is...

AHH!! Freak accident with foam stuck in ear!!

Well, I guess this one was stuck in there real nice and snug, so it wouldn't come off just like that. And a toothpick? to my ear? this is just too damn scary. I would like to know that I tried every possible option before attempting that. The worst thing is that I now have to use the...

AHH!! Freak accident with foam stuck in ear!!

I was burning in my c710 and decided to take a listen to see of there are any changes, put the foam tips on but I guess I didn't pay much attention to how good they were fitted, and as I pulled the phones out, the right tip stayed in the ear! I was a little freaked, then took a cotton swab...

    Does c710 treble sucks?

I'm burning them in right now with pink noise.. I don't believe in burning in making drastic changes, but I'm giving it a chance.. By the way, how could I determine if my headphones are fakes or faulty?

    Does c710 treble sucks?

Well, I finally took the plunge, ordered a pair of c710's from eBay. The package came about a week later, a really really nice package, although with a typo after the first word of description, but from what I've seen here, it's the real deal. Inside laid two IEMs, some tips and a nice, leathery...

    Where to get C710?

Hello, I live in Israel, where the Denon C710 are not available, and if they ever will, the price will probably be outrageous. Can you please recommend me of a place that ships internationally (or not, if it is in NYC or Vegas) which has them in stock and in price not excess of 120$ USD. I...

    PortaPro sound signature?

Well, the change will be drastic, that's for sure... However, if light bass may be a problem, please consider upgrading to these twice. What music are you listening to and what are your listening preferences? what made you pick this model and not another model in the same price range?

    PortaPro sound signature?

Well, that's interesting, I used to own the portapro's for two years and I own the AD700 and even AKG's now! makes me feel like this real important head-fi'er Well, these two are very different phones, the AD700 has superb soundstage and positioning and are quite airy and bass light. The...

    Travel Phones

Well, they clamp like a vise , but that's good for isolation, and they do isolate quite well. Comfort is a bit problematic on those, as the clamping force may be too strong, but I guess there are headband mods which can be done to alleviate this. I guess they look a bit big when walking around...
