hey everyone! i am looking for a solid, under 200 dollar headphone for travel. some requirements are that it needs to be closed back, doesnt need an amp to power it (dont have a portable one at the moment) and it obviously needs to have good sound quality.   thanks for the help, wags

No doubt the Sr-80i's.Phenominal for only 100 bucks. dont bother to get anything better, the difference is miniscule, and out of all the Grados, my favorites are the PS-1000 and the SR-80i's.   happy listening, wags

I own the 440's and the sound quality for the price is great. One complain is that, sometimes after long uses (multiple hours) your ears will get really sweaty and because the cup is shallow, it tends to irritate my ears.   happy listening, wags

porta pros ftw. for the money, they are the best cans, besides the grado SR80i. 

you could go for a in ears, the shure se535's are my favorite. for on the ear, i would recommend the koss porta pro's. they are pretty flat but my hair tends to get caught in the adjusting clip. if your sleeping, how about speakers?

go with some turtle beach ear force x41's. best for xbox 360. if your on ur ps3 get the ear force px21s. cant get better then turtle beaches.

ive had the porta pro for 3 years and they are amazing. i love them for on the go listening. i bet you could get them of of amazon for pretty cheap

no doubt keep them black. or what would be cool is to find a matching paint color to the wood.
