Puritan Audio Laboratories PSM136, PSM156, PSM1512 Power Conditioners

That's correct. I went with off the shelf 10AWG stranded, green insulation electrical wire. Only use the ground rod in your basement if it is not connected as an earth ground for your main AC electrical panel. Never connect a GroundMaster to the ground rod or ground rod array that's used for...

Puritan Audio Laboratories PSM136, PSM156, PSM1512 Power Conditioners

GroundMaster & RouteMaster If you are using only one GroundMaster or GroundMaster-City with a RouteMaster, the GroundMaster or City is plugged into the RouteMaster, not the 136, 156 or 1512.

Puritan Audio Laboratories PSM136, PSM156, PSM1512 Power Conditioners

In my main stereo, I have a ground rod array connected to two GroundMasters; one to the green plug on the 156 and the other to the RouteMaster. The same thing can be done with GroundMaster-City units if a ground rod or ground rod array is not practical as it the case my two other stereo rooms...

Puritan Audio Laboratories PSM136, PSM156, PSM1512 Power Conditioners

The best use of Puritan products is as a complete system; 136 or 156/GroundMaster or City/RouteMaster. I have done so with several stereos and a recording studio. IMHO, the RouteMaster is as important as the GroundMaster or City.

GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge

Silly audiophile myth #420: All opamps and/or all circuits designed with op amps can't sound as good as a discrete circuit.

GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge

It's necessary for all solid state gear to be left on 24/7, especially digital, to sound it's best unless you are traveling. It will last longer as well especially if you have a good surge suppression/conditioning unit in your main panel like this: Whole House Surge/Conditioning/Waveform Correction

This appears to be a well designed linear supply that will work over a range of voltages (make adjustments with internal pot) and is reasonably priced. Linear Power Supply

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

As it's audible, t's either there or it isn't. If you hear background noise with volume turned up, no LP playing, you unplug the Qutest wall wart and the noise is decreased or, in my case, goes away completely, then you'll know. There can also be inaudible, high frequency noise injected back...

Chord Electronics Qutest DAC - Official Thread

The main problem with the stock power supply is not so much the resulting sound quality of the Qutest but the amount of noise it injects back into your AC distribution. That noise is clearly audible when playing LPs. Various power conditioning/filtering/isolation schemes didn't help. Adding a...
