Bluetooth over AptX sounds great, much better than AAC out of iPhone. It worked well for me over AptX HD via my Bluesound Node-- noticeable difference. I would skip the USB-C cable because that defeats the purpose of wireless headphones. The Node would integrate well with your system as well...

I would say based on how deep you are into the hobby and/or how good your ears are, diminishing returns can be experienced anywhere from $500 to $1500.

Never had a problem with the construction of the PX8. Completely solid with zero creaks and no issues with the leather. No product is perfect across thousands of samples, but some people are rougher with their stuff too I’m sure.
