What I can remember it had to do with the USB chipset which was less qualitative than later versions.- Vhond

Has anybody compared the AES versus the USB connection of the Onyx? I can remember I've ever read about initial problems with the USB module??- Vhond

@BlackMagic : thx for this picture, yeah that might be useful (although the Jade has of course an integrated pre amp functionality and I don't know how different the PCB's are of the Jade versus the Onyx)...- Vhond

@kumar402 : Ok, but that is for the mains voltage. I was wondering if there is a possibility to adjust the gain voltage (for output volume)??- Vhond

I don't know if the seller was talking about the AC voltage? I am wondering if you can adjust the output (signal) voltage?? @BorisT : in the image there are points just in the middle connected with the red lines. They seem to be for the AC DC connection...- Vhond

I came along this classified . The seller says there's a switch inside the Onyx DAC to adjust the voltage. Can somebody tell me more about that (hopefully with a picture)?- Vhond

Yeah it looks like there's 'only' an extra attenuator/potentiometer, but I doubt you can add this without any 'extra's to an Onyx PCB...- Vhond
