Tracking force help with JMW-9 tonearm
I just bought a dynavector 17D2 cartridge. I am trying to set the tracking force for this particular cartridge. The counterweight is all the way forward which renders a tracking force of about 1.25 grams, but the cartridge requires a tracking force between 1.8-2.0 grams. Any ideas? TIA, ves- Vespasian

The Dynavector P75 jumper settings are defaulted for a Low MC cartridge. I have a dynavctor 20-XH cartridge, but I initially (by mistake) left the settings to the phone stage for Low MC. I then changed the stage setting for High MC, and noticed two things 1) My system kinda sounds better with...- Vespasian

VPI Scout: JMW 9 setup question
My camera is charging; I will get another pciture up shortly. The legnth of the pivot from the "base" was around 29-30 mm (millimeters). Refer to the URL below to see what I am calling the "base". Does that length seem reasonable? http://mysite.verizon.net/res1qdjr/images/highfi.jpg...- Vespasian

VPI Scout: JMW 9 setup question
I am having trouble placing the JMW 9 tonearm on the male pivot point of my VPI Scout. It seems that the pivot is longer than what the arm will accomodate (wobbles back and forth, ~2 cm too high), and the clamp that encompasses the tonearm doesn't come close to doing it. Not sure what to try at...- Vespasian

Phone stage cable
What's a good phone cable to connect a VPI scout with a dynavector 20-XH cartridge and a Dynavector P-75 phone stage? Will regular RCA interconnets suffice for the connection? TIA, Ves- Vespasian
