Romania, around 260 euro and no. I appreciate the interest but i'd rather just go with something from what i've listed, if you really can't find anything you'd recommend from that list no worries.- uaciaut

Requesting DAC/Headphone combo advice-2 ways of going about it.
Around 400 euro i think. I'm purchasing from Eastern Europe so the selection is limited to about everything i've listed though. (i have access to some Fiio products too i guess).- uaciaut

1. Somewhat cheaper DAC, better headphones: DAC options: http://www.head-fi.org/products/fostex-hp-a3 http://www.head-fi.org/products/audioquest-dragonfly-red http://www.head-fi.org/products/audioengine-d1-premium-24-bit-dac or even lower price range...- uaciaut

Paging Head-Fi for help with new head gear - phones and audio card
It would also cost me an arm and a leg and i'd basically skip a whole tier of headphones which makes me think i would not be able to fully appreciate how great the HD 600 is. Then again i could much more easily buy something cheap after i get the HD 600 if that's what i really want D:- uaciaut

Paging Head-Fi for help with new head gear - phones and audio card
Is there something wrong with the title of the thread being too non-specific or the contents of my post, or do people around simply not have enough experience with the STX2? Heard it's not yet released in the US but still i would've been expecting some advice on the headphone part at least :P- uaciaut

Paging Head-Fi for help with new head gear - phones and audio card
I'll get straight to the point. 1. Is Asus Xonar STX 2 worth the money or should i stick to buying an Asus Xonar STX. I'm looking to drive something like a Sennheiser HD558-598, maybe an HD600 if i'm feeling crazy with money or something of similar cost (HD 600 is the upper upper limit of my...- uaciaut

Quote: And what was your first post? :P But i agree, lack of info + focusing 99% on marketing = poor quality/price ratio most likely. The market these days is FULL of headphones that actually make incredible products at small prices and i quite frankly don't care that much about the...- uaciaut

Xonar DX vs Fiio E10 (vs Xonar DG)
Pretty straight forward, i listen to a lot of genres, most of the time on my headphones. I know that i'm losing an amp on the DX but i'm more interested in sound quality than anything else. Thanks in advance.- uaciaut

[Impression] FiiO E10
Real shame these aren't readily available in Romania, i'll try to find another outside dealer or get them through a friend in Germany and hope they're fine so i don't have any return problems. Eagerly expecting to listen to them though :)- uaciaut

Soundboard purchase advice
Pretty straight forward: I'm stuck between the Xonar DG and the Xonar DX/D1 (heard the D1's basically the same as DX only on PCI). I listen on headphones primarily, is the am on the DG worth the difference in quality that DX/D1 would bring (do note that i'm not that obsessed about high volumes)...- uaciaut
