For sale is a very gently and low-hour pair of limited edition Ocharaku Flat 4 Kaede III BALANCE IEMs. They were purchased from CD Japan on May 1, 2019 – and shipped about one month later. They've been stored in a pelican case – which is included – since receiving them. They have a new pair...- ToddRaymond

Audio-Gd R-28 impressions thread
Thank you for sharing your impressions! Super helpful. I have no doubt that DAC aspect (essentially an R-8) and the headphone amp / preamp aspect (Master 19) would be great. I just hope I would 'lose' much by not having a more (specialized?) preamp. At one point I had the Ayre K-3x, and that...- ToddRaymond

Audio-Gd R-28 impressions thread
@Patswalker Do you mind commenting on what your R-27RE may have replaced in your living room? What do you have downstream from it? That very unit makes the most sense for me as my next purchase, but I'm also considering holding out until I can upgrade to absolute top level components. The...- ToddRaymond

Audio-GD Master 9
The new Master 9 mkIII is certainly an answer to the many who have stated, "sounds great! But it takes up soooooo much space...." But also makes sense as a way of differentiating the LE and HE as being not just the 2014 Master 9 a fair number of folks may be familiar with. I wonder if this...- ToddRaymond

Basically, all these heated debates on all threads of all forums tend to boil down to: "I feel very, very justified in all of the purchases that I have made. My ego doesn't want to accept that perhaps I haven't got it all figured out just yet." ...No matter where anybody stands on whatever...- ToddRaymond

Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE
I'd like to ditto what OCC7N said, as much as I am able to. Now, I haven't owned a DDC yet from Audio-gd. But when using the Singxer SU-6 upstream from my R-28, it improved everything considerably. I've read a number of impressions stating the DI-20 is better.- ToddRaymond

Lotoo PAW Gold Touch - Touchscreen, 4.4mm Bal, USB DAC, Bluetooth
@nocturne19 Can you please comment more on the sonic differences you perceive between the LPGT (I guess your sig shows it's the non-Ti version) and the Mjolnir? I suppose later on I could add an external amp like the Brise Tsuranagi or something from MASS-Kobo to bring out the best of the...- ToddRaymond

Lotoo PAW Gold Touch - Touchscreen, 4.4mm Bal, USB DAC, Bluetooth
Of course, of course! Tired brain didn't make the connection. I truly appreciate your kind words then and now! I hope you and yours have been well also! When more funds become available, I would definitely consider the Mjolnir. But, considering it's more than 3K more than the LPGT Ti, with...- ToddRaymond

Lotoo PAW Gold Touch - Touchscreen, 4.4mm Bal, USB DAC, Bluetooth
I regret having sold mine. I really didn't have a choice – outside of getting a second job (which wasn't feasible whilst taking care of my sick-but-since-recovered amazing wife) – but I still am kinda bummed that I parted with it.- ToddRaymond

Hifiman HE1000-SE
I would imagine the R-27 RE from Audio-gd would be great! It's the lower power version of the R-27 HE, and would have plenty of power on tap for these 'phones.- ToddRaymond

Audio-GD DI-20
Indeed. It's just odd that in his description, Accusilicon is specified for all three clocks, but the unit in the photo shows that third clock as the sort used pre-March, 2019, prior to the upgrade/switch to Accusilicon. I have a feeling that the actual shipped units will use Acculisicon...- ToddRaymond

Audio-GD DI-20
Excited to eventually get my hands on (ears on?) the new DI-24. Side note: odd that in the photos for the new DI-24 HE, it appears that particular unit has the 90 and 98 MHz Accusilicon clocks (under the USB board), but the third clock is what looks like the older Audio-gd branded TCXO.- ToddRaymond

Forza AudioWorks Impressions Thread
Yeah, I wasn't crazy about my Noir Mk2/Noir Hybrid 4.4 mm female to 3.3 male converter cable, despite being advertised as a Pentaconn connection, only having that connector pictured above. It's clearly not the NBC1-14-001 connector from Pentaconn. 4.4 mm, yes, but difficult to say that it...- ToddRaymond

Nice! And I hear I thought they only had a demo remaining (from one of their e-mails). Guess they found it hiding somewhere. Great dealer! Pat is retiring and the store is closing at the end of the year (though a new owner will take over the space).- ToddRaymond
