    I'm using mine with a Vali at the moment and its great. Its a tad on the warm side because of the tubes, but the soundstage and bass depth really open up compared to unamped, and the treble sparkle is even more delicious (if that's even possible).

    Sennheiser HD25 Aluminium 25th anniversary edition review

    Noticeably better than any other combination. Faster, punchier, more PRaT and cleaner. They weren't bad per se, but they lacked the "oomph" of the alu's.

    Hey guys, I got my sextetts (lp) a while ago now and have been running them off a Bravo v2 tube amp, but I feel this isn't driving them to their full potential. I'm looking at a vali or o2, do you think one of these would be powerful enough? Thanks.

    I would agree with all of that completely, I'd say the only possible downside to the HD25's is that they're quite sibilant sometimes. Otherwise, they're just more interesting in my opinion!

    I preferred the HD25's more exciting sound sig, and I'm not really a bass head so the Amperiors were simply less interesting to me, sound wise. The HD25's are much more in your face while the Amperiors are more relaxed and bassy.
