    I'm using mine with a Vali at the moment and its great. Its a tad on the warm side because of the tubes, but the soundstage and bass depth really open up compared to unamped, and the treble sparkle is even more delicious (if that's even possible).

    Noticeably better than any other combination. Faster, punchier, more PRaT and cleaner. They weren't bad per se, but they lacked the "oomph" of the alu's.

    I would agree with all of that completely, I'd say the only possible downside to the HD25's is that they're quite sibilant sometimes. Otherwise, they're just more interesting in my opinion!

    I preferred the HD25's more exciting sound sig, and I'm not really a bass head so the Amperiors were simply less interesting to me, sound wise. The HD25's are much more in your face while the Amperiors are more relaxed and bassy.

    To be honest the Amperior are more like the HD25 than not, so chances are If you don't like one you won't like the other. That said, the Amperiors pads are nicer and they have less clamp, so it depends on the extent to which you don't mind a bit of ache after a while in oder to enjoy the music...
