Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions
I had the over ear WH1000XM2 for a while. ANC on the AirPods isn’t as good, but it’s not far off. Maybe 80-90%. It filters a similar amount of low background noises like trains. Struggles a little with louder background noises like screeching trains. I’d say ANC is on par with the wireless...- Tim182

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions
I got mine yesterday and am very impressed. - sound quality is much improved compared to Gen 1, these sound like real quality headphones - at first it felt like a bit of a flat sound, but I have now changed to the large seals and this seems to have improved the bass quite a bit like someone...- Tim182

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
It’ll work just without the microphone. If you’re interested and in the EU I’m actually selling a pair of iOS brand new and still sealed for £110. Unwanted gift- Tim182

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
Perhaps the answer is to look at the Sony MX1000M2 instead. Great noise cancellation and supposedly better sound than the QC35. Listened to the M2 through my iphones over SBC again this morning, and the quality just isn’t good enough. With cable and over aptx they are great, but SBC kinda kills...- Tim182

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
Got myself a pair of the M2 Wireless and now a not sure whether to return these or not... I already own the wired Momentum 2.0 Overears which I love, especially when plugged into my FiiO Q9. For me, there are two issues with the wireless M2s - no AAC and using SBC on iPhones. I did lots of back...- Tim182

Sennheiser PXC 550 Discussion and Reviews
Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over Ear Wireless vs PCX550 I am considering buying my first pair of wireless headphones and am looking at both the Momentum 2.0 and the PCX 550. While there are plenty of reviews of both pairs, there doesn't seem to be a real comparison between the two. They currently...- Tim182

Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 (Exynos version with Wolfson)
This thread is for the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 (Exynos version with Wolfson). A separate thread makes sense since the I9500 performs very different to the I9505. My impression including some issues are as follows: - Volume is very soft - lack of low end on most headphones - sounds...- Tim182

Which soundcard is right for my purposes?
Quote: Very true. I think I may just go for the DG. Seems good enough for my purposes. I am a bit confused though with the formats. It says it supports DD and DTS but not Pro Logic. Does this mean that the card can't decode Pro-Logic and put it out over analogue 5.1 or this this...- Tim182

Which soundcard is right for my purposes?
Quote: I am having a issues with clipping using my onboard sound and decoding doesn't work properly with some movies. Apart from that its the headphone output that I am after. So you basically don't see any benefit in spending extra money for the DX or a Auzen X-fi Forte? ...- Tim182

Which soundcard is right for my purposes?
Quote: I don't want to invest in better speakers at this point . I stay in an apartment and am limited with space and volume. All I want is a decent driver for my headphones and a card which can handle a good 5.1 output for movies. My onboard sound often has issues with decoding...- Tim182

Which soundcard is right for my purposes?
I am looking for a new soundcard and was hoping to get some advice on which one would be most suitable for my purposes. I connect a set of Logitech Z5450 to my PC. The speakers are currently connected via SPDIF to my onboard sound. I have read that I can get an improvement in audio quality...- Tim182
