Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Review
I don't know if they sound any different, but I know for sure that they have gotten more comfortable. Both the headband and earpads on the newer models are made out of this softer synthetic leather material than the older ones. I know since I had to replace those parts with new ones. Also the...- thegaybanker

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
I'm not sure about the first one, but I actually got to tryout the new gen2 T5p, and it doesn't suffer from the same problems as the 1770. Vocals and soundstage (and neutrality) are much better on them then the 1770, and they are much more comfortable. But, then again I guess you get what you...- thegaybanker

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
I guess, but even the 770 has a smoother 'end of bass / early mid' range. I feel like it's just takes away a lot from vocalist singing (both overtones and undertones) within that range. And as for the 3000-4000Hz, that hits some instruments pretty hard (as well as major undertones for female...- thegaybanker

Does anyone else notice the dips in the sound around 200-250Hz and 3000-4000Hz?- thegaybanker

Like putting padding material inside to reduce treble. They use polyfill and dynamat sound deadener materials for speakers, so it should work the same for headphones.- thegaybanker

I don't think there are by mods for the HP150 specifically, but there was one for the HP100. You could try that I guess.- thegaybanker

Not sure, I'm pretty new here. The reason why I joined Head-Fi in the first place was because of all the cool mods I see on here. I'm sure you should be able to find some for this or any other headphone on here if you search for it.- thegaybanker

You should just modify/dampen your pair to bring down the treble instead of buying an expensive amplifier to do that.- thegaybanker

SoundMAGIC HP100/HP150 Review and Impressions Thread
This is probably a round about way of doing things, but if you could just figure out a way to reduce the the bass and treble, then the mids would become more present. I'm a noob here though, so I'm not sure if you could just do that or if things even work that way.- thegaybanker
