AAW Capri Balanced Lightning Audio Cable, with Type-C variant
I have the shure cable (and the Capri cable, but its still the original hissy version) and the phrase that just keeps coming to mind with the shure cable is "turnkey solution" (and I hate that phrase). It. Just. Works. I'm using it with the se846 and I have enough volume, no (detectable to me )...- thebrain

I'll bet you $1,000 all new iPhones coming out this year have lightning on them, so the lightning Capri will still be relevant- thebrain

Counterfeit Shure SE846 Dissected
I have heard, and it would seem reasonable, but I wanted to check with the knowledge base here: That the fake SE846's only occur in the colored varieties, but not clear...since you can see the expensive innards- thebrain

new cans <$200
Ok everyone, my Shure e4c's broke and I have decided that it is high time that I have a decent set of 'real' cans. I have a MAX budget of $200, preferably more around $100. I can't do completely enclosing headphones that go completely around your ears, if doesn't something funny to my...- thebrain

opinions of the metro.fi 2
I was looking at these for a pair of kicker headphones, something shallower fitting and easier to use with less noise blocking than my e4c's Amazon.com: Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 2 Earphones Black with Silver Trim: Electronics anyone used them before? I did look at the super.fi 3 but I don't...- thebrain

everyday headphone
I currently have a set of Shure e4c's with custom molded sleeves and I find them really more suited for dedicated music/listening/movie session. In other words I don't think they're the right 'phone to just throw in a bag and just use walking to and from class, etc. Partly due to their...- thebrain

e4c + minibox-D/iBasso +ipod 5th gen
Ok guys, a little help would be great. I have a 5th gen 80 giger ipod with music in the 128-320kb/s range in aac and mp3. I use e4c's plugged into the headphone port. I have been looking at an amp, and I have two neccessities; cheap and small (good looking is nice too). Along that vein I have...- thebrain

Shuffle 1G 1GB vs. Nano 1G 1GB
the only thing I can think of is that the shuffle may have a higher level of base noise and hiss (over the last gen shuffle), so if you plan on using senstive IEM's or something, nano might be the way to go. Also Apple refurb nano's are good prices and Apple has a great rep. with refurbs my dos...- thebrain

UM56 custom molds for e4c's
Hey everybody, I just got my impressions done at my local audiologist for my custom tips for my e4c's. It was a very quick and painless process. But if you have dirty re: super waxy ears it could be a little less comfortable for you as the audiologist removes this (and its deep in there) before...- thebrain

sensaphonics vs westone molds
does anyone have experience regarding the differences between the custom impressions of these two brands. Westone (for shure e4c) makes one that looks like it fits on like a regular tip, but is a customized shape. Whereas sensaphonics has custom molds that fit in the ear canal and on the outer...- thebrain
