    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

My PX has randomly died today. Not really sure how to proceed. If I plug it in via USB it'll light up green, as if it's charged. When I turn it on, I get a pale blue/white light. It's lighter than the blue you usually get, but more blue than the standby light you sometimes get. It doesn't...

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I messaged B&W and they offered me a replacement, so I'll probably just take them up on that. It's barely 0 degrees here so I'm guessing this isn't normal ;)

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I’m in the uk so it isn’t crazy cold and I had no connectivity issues. Was it just the right speaker or both of them for you with crackling?

    Bowers & Wilkins PX Noise-Cancelling Over-ears

I’ve been having some weird distortion issues with just the right headphone. Seems to be affected by the cold; if I go outside and turn them on the right speaker will be very distorted but usually fixes itself over time. Anyone have any idea if this is a design issue or just a fault with my pair?

    Sony MDR-1000X

Anyone know a 3.5mm cable on Amazon in the UK they know fits the met-1000x? Just looking for 4ft or so.

    Sony MDR-1000X

They're listed as supporting aac. Just curious how it works exactly. I assume there's no transcoding and it's the file sent across raw.

    Sony MDR-1000X

If iPhone is outputting AAC (like from Apple Music) isn't there theoretically no quality loss because there's no transcoding before the audio is sent to the headphones? I may be off but I think I've read that. I use these with my iPhone in that scenario & have no issues with the audio quality...

    Sony MDR-1000X

Does anyone know the circumstances in which "DSEE" is used? Is it something you can choose to enable or disable? Curious more than anything.

    Sony MDR-1000X

Thanks, that seems to be the general thoughts I've seen. I may stick with what I have then. I really do find the sound of the 100abn to be pretty close to my tastes, so without any real upgrade in that area it's not worth the money. It's just impossible not to constantly have that itch to upgrade ;)

    Sony MDR-1000X

Sorry if this has been answered but it's quite a large thread; I have a pair of mdr-100abn currently. I like them, I like the sound profile and how not overly bassy it is. I despise my old Momentum headphones in comparison. Is there a meaningful upgrade in audio quality from those headphones...

Need high quality round head/clip on headphones

Appreciate the response. I could maybe pass on the wireless aspect as long as the cable is replaceable. The issue is cycling kills every headphone wire I've used eventually.

Need high quality round head/clip on headphones

I could wear them if I had to, but it's certainly not my preferance. I never find them as comfortable as just some on ear pads and often have them fall out. From the looks of things I may have to settle though.

Need high quality round head/clip on headphones

Hey. I cycle a lot (nowhere near traffic, don't worry) and need a pair of headphones I can wear while wearing a helmet. Obviously this excludes over the head ones. Additionally I hate any in ear/earbud style headphone as they are either uncomfortable or unreliable in terms of staying in. What...
