Philadelpia,New Jersey and Deleware January 28 2012 Mini Meet
Quote: If I can make it to the meet I would be more than willing to give you a ride there. also I would be very interested in comparing the DAC section of the HDP to the Bifrost so I guess could bring that, my recabled HD650s and a pure i20 for people's ipods. I'll have a better...- tetrislol

It's Official: NY Area Meet, November 12, 2011
I think that I'll be able to make this one. If so I can bring my double helix recabled HD650, ESW9s and HDP coax'd to pure i20 dock for people's ipods.- tetrislol

Pictures Of Your Portable Rig (part XV)
Quote: Found that when amped the ESW9s seem to open up, have better instrument separation, better overall clarity, larger soundstage etc (typical things that good amplification does for HPs haha). I think the thing most important for me would be the increased clarity in the mids...- tetrislol

Pictures Of Your Portable Rig (part XV)
Not exactly the most sophisticated set-up, but I'm enjoying the ESW9s straight out of the clip w/o any EQ. They do sound a lot better amped though; guess I'll have to look into some portable ones haha.- tetrislol

NEW JERSEY 2011 - Saturday, August 6th in East Hanover, NJ
sorry for such a late reply! I think I might be able to stop by after work. Can really contribute much, but I will bring my nuforce HDP, cable-modded HD650s, sansaclip+ and pure i-20 dock for people that have ipods; this all assuming I can make it haha.- tetrislol

Schiit Lyr Shipping! Impressions?
Quote: Not sure that you will be able to answer the question, but figured I might as well throw it out there. I understand that you prefer the WA2 as a dynamic headphone amp as compared to the Lyr; but when considering a more price compatible contender like the WA6, do you think that the...- tetrislol

WASAPI - Overhyped?
I don't see how it could be considered overhyped. I've used directsound, asio4all and ploytec drivers, but wasapi is my clear winner. ease of use, best sq/equal sq with no issues, and works flawlessly with foobar; latency delay is the only 'issue'.- tetrislol

what is better, ASIO4ALL or WASAPI ?
I've had it with wonky drivers and weird usb issues so I think I'm permanently switching to wasapi.- tetrislol

WASAPI delay
"control panel>sound>digital output>options>advanced>allow applications to take exclusive control of this device (un-tick it)" interesting; never thought to try that. now if I pause audio in foobar I can go open a youtube video and hear the audio from it. the delay is just something I have...- tetrislol

Pico slim or TTVJ slim
I've heard grado 325i through the pico slim and I thought they made an excellent combination.- tetrislol

Any suggestions on how to keep your headphones smelling good?
Never use scented Co2 dispenser sprays near headphones; trust me. A lot of odor in headphones is caused by excess dust and other small particles in hard to react areas on most headphones. Compressed air and plastic toothpicks work well.- tetrislol
