Stax Sr-5: What`s better?
If I were to upgrade my Stax SR-5/SRD-7 combo, In a price range $200-400, what would be the "next step" so to speak? I listen to mostly jazz/soul/funk type music...with "real" instruments ;-) I`d appreciate any input.- terjer2

Dedicated amplifer for my Stax SR-5/SRD-7. Suggestions?
I recently purchased the Stax and was planning on hooking them up to a Nakamichi SR-2, but discovered to my dismay that the receiver had died. I`m therefore looking to buy an amplifier or receiver that will only be used for the Stax. No speakers will be hooked up to it. I`m hoping to get away...- terjer2

Finally went electrostatic... here's my setup+impressions. Stax SR-5 and SRD-6
New guy going through some old threads here. Dust is mentioned as a threat several times. Would careful use of compressed air be an option or would that risk ruining the diaphragms? If the trade goes well, I`ll end up with a set of SR-5 in a few days:-)- terjer2
