Hi, I misplaced (lost) my Yuin PK1's :( and finding new "non" in-ear wired buds is not easy. Also not easy to search since all 'ear buds' are typically in-ear. Any recommendations on these types of earbuds in the $50-$100 price range? Thanks

For ANC to work you’ll need to power it on, so you will use the amp - there is no option to disable that. You’ll only use the DAC with USB or Bluetooth connections ...

OK - thanks - that works. In pairing mode it indeed can connect to other devices directly. One thing, it would be convenient if it would indicate to which device it has connected when powering up and saying "Bluetooth connected". I know other brands do that :) And, if you're taking notes ;-)...

Hi - thanks - but that was not exactly the scenario I was looking for. I was hoping to be able to use them with just lightning->USB-A and USB-A->USB-C, so that it would use the DAC in the IO 6. With the lightning -> 3.5mm, you'll always use the DAC in that dongle.

I have that exact same experience! But, I compared them, without music, with the Sony WH-1000XM3 in an office environment and it was only slightly less effective, more in the range of 90% vs 100% I've had the H9i's as well, and find the IO6 much more comfortable, and soundwise they are both great.

Personally I don't think they are the same, even though they share the same components. The Sony appears to be a more effective on higher frequencies and overall a bit as well - but as I said, was pleasantly surprised that the IO 6 wasn't far behind. I think the Bose QC 35 II are still the best...
