Schiit Valhalla 3 - Impressions Thread

Hello guys. It seems the 6n1p and the 6n6p have the same type of tube-socket. Please tell if I am wrong but if they are indeed the same what happens if I mistakenly put tubes in to wrong sockets? I am using a Bottlehead Crack now and planning to buy the Vahalla3 to compare. Thank you.

Have you guys above tried the Apple earbud? I think it is more comfortable to wear even than Sennheiser headphones that are very comfortable already imo. And the Apple earbud sound very nice only with a dongle (more dynamic and lively) compared to all headphones driving directly from...

Introducing The Zen Can Signature! A Premium Desk-Fi Headphone Amp!!

Now your Zen is like a boutique amp in a small footprint. Very interesting, I wish I can try it because I prefer my small and beautiful signature Zen stack to many big and expensive ones I had in the past. If iFi corporates with you and release a new desktop lineup for below $1000 it will be great

Introducing The Zen Can Signature! A Premium Desk-Fi Headphone Amp!!

Thanks you for all the information, Mr. Thor. So I understand that if it is not high-end I better buy a single-ended amplifier. But it is ok to buy an affordable balanced dac if I have a high-end amplifier.

Introducing The Zen Can Signature! A Premium Desk-Fi Headphone Amp!!

Hi Mr. Thor, Are you serious? All I have read point to the balanced-out sounding better than the single-ended. Is it different on the signature Zen can/Zen dac circuit design? Tks

What is everybody's favorite Solid State Headphone Amp?

I don’t know why and don’t want to be rude but the Asgard2 is the worst sounding amp I have ever used. It sounds like a bloated and hazy mess paired with my LCD2 rev2. The original Asgard 1 sounds ok due to its mellowness and openess. The Asgard 2 ruins all of those characters.

    Focal Utopia 2022 Review, Measurements

Is tube amp good for the Nutopia? According to what I know the 80ohm impedance is more suitable to ss amps’ low output-impedance, thanks

    HD800s

Most tube amps put under 300mw into 300ohm and they are still widely used with the Senn so don’t worry

Introducing the xDuoo TA-66 OTL Tube Amplifier - Now Available on Apos Audio

Anyone compares the 66 to the Crack? I have many amps now but I often listen to my Crack due to its beautiful mids. Sadly my hd800s sounds slow on my Crack so my hd650 takes the exclusivity on the amp. Tks

    Senn HD800 Ultimate, "Maxx" Mod

Congrats on the achievement. But what is the meaning of “minimal negative signal travel” in impulse response? Will it make the sound drier or over-dampened?

NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety - Impressions Thread

The hd650 is ok on ss amps but not special as its big brother hd800s. I don’t understand why many said the hd650 slow because I found it too fast to an extent of being blunt so the Crack bloomed and added sub-bass sound signature brings an ideal feat to the headphone. However I prefer using my...

NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety - Impressions Thread

Just use both a little more with a transparent headphone and not with recent popular recordings (cause they are all too auto tuned , loud-war and digital one-noted now)

    The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread

The hd800S from 2021 onwards has a different fr graph and a different yokes design. They now actually have shallower and smaller dip in the mids that brings them closer to the Harman ideal fr line :) Imo I think many reach to tube amps for little euphonic harmonics so it’s not a very bad idea...
