    Using IEM's for console gaming?

I use my UM3X with the astro mixamp on things such as rockband and it sounds excellent. Also for positioning if you use the optical and turn on the dolby headphone that works for COD etc...

recommandation please: Westone4 vs. Earsonic SM3 vs. Westone UM3x

And watch out for the reviews that were done when the SM3 just came out they had pretty bad FOTM going on. At first they were regarded as the best thing since sliced bread until people slowly started noticing things. (not that SM3 is bad at all or anything)   I prefer the UM3X (silicone...

Deciding between Custom and Universal IEMs

Take a look at joker's IEM review thread there's LOTS of reviews there!   and also when you're talking about "top tier" IEMs it all comes down to splitting hairs and personal preference with cost meaning almost nothing.  I'd ay read some reviews and pick a IEM that you feel would fit your...

POLL: Do earbuds stay in your ears?

hmm interesting.. My ears are like the bottom ones so that explains a lot. I do go back and try earbuds once in a blue moon but it just always ends up reminding me why i use IEMs.   seems like it's pretty close but with more of the people having problems than not.   I also just saw...

Deciding between Custom and Universal IEMs

Yes, they'll be fine paired with a apple product. There's better sources out there but a lot of people use iPods etc... I can also very well relate to your irritation issue with earbuds. I can't even keep them in my ears if I tilt my head!   and what kind of sound signature are you looking...

POLL: Do earbuds stay in your ears?

So, my main reason that I tried IEM's in the first place was because I could not get earbuds to stay in my ears at all. It's pretty bad to the point if I tilt my head to the side they will fall out.   I made this poll to see what percentage of people they actually fit.   I'm talking...

    IEM's to fall asleep with

I sleep on my side with the UM3X and with the W1 and UM1 being smaller I think that would work for you.   Also I've been thinking about getting some CHEAP phones for sleeping though. No use risking damage to a high end set. Something like the JVC Marshmallows they sell at walmart etc?

Need help choosing headphones, $100 to spend

Well at the $100 range you could try the Shure SE215 or the Monster Turbine (online stores are much cheaper than $150 at best buy etc...) You can also get a mic for the turbine. (control talk model) both of these models offer a good warranty should you break them.   however is the mic a...
