Amazing write-up of your impressions and photos too! It will be curious to hear your impressions. By the way, hopefully next week I will receive some Double Helix Cables adapters so I can run my Rossini Apex/clock/Gryphon Diablo 120 integrated amp straight into my Susvaras. Let's try beefy...- SuperBurrito

I'm mainly a headphone listener (Susvara + 1266 TC, using a Luxman HP amp) and the Apex upgrade for Rossini was huge with headphones. So huge that it makes me want a Vivaldi Apex. But I really can't say how the Bartok's internal HP amp will scale...to get the most out of an Apex you may need a...- SuperBurrito

Well the good news is that in a few years I can make a meaningful profit if I sell my dCS gear, but then what would I listen to?- SuperBurrito

That's awesome. I'm really enjoying my Rossini Apex + clock, and have been looking at what kind of amps dCS uses in shows. Consistently it's D'Agostino. IMO, it's going to be hard for many (any?) HP amps to beat that benchmark.- SuperBurrito

Dave and MScaler was great for sure but Rossini Apex is so much more natural sounding, while still having an incredible amount of detail.- SuperBurrito

Susvara is a beast indeed! Sounds incredible, but best for genres other than rock and electronica. For those genres I prefer the TC. Sus is so power hungry though - it sounds amazing when run straight out of my Gryphon Diablo's speaker taps.- SuperBurrito

dCS DACs are designed for ethernet as the top choice for connections, and dCS themselves do not recommend spending money on upgraded ethernet cables, switches, etc. That's one of the main reasons I moved away from MDave and USB connections.- SuperBurrito

Agreed I have the C15 with the S-mod and it is perfect with the Susvara and TC. End game!- SuperBurrito
