    Best value amp/DAC combo?

I'm not exactly sure which model I'll get, but the fact that I've seen the 250ohm models on sale is what lead me to this amp search. I don't think I'll go above 250. Desktop is fine, any power source will work, will be used with my laptop/phone. Thanks for helping me ask better questions guys.

    Best value amp/DAC combo?

How can I make it better? I tried to include the headphones I own now, my budget, and the general range of headphones I'll own in the future.

    Best value amp/DAC combo?

Currently own Dunu DN-1000s and planning to pick up a pair of 598s or Beyerdynamic cans in the near future. What is the best value amp/DAC combo for $100-$300 that synergizes with headphones/IEMs in the $200-$500 range?

Why are high-end headphones so hard to find?

This is what I think makes sense as an outsider as well, but that's not what I've found here in Canada. Looking online, very few Canadian retailers sell headphones (based on browsing their website) and even fewer sell them online. The majority of them are all high ticket items. i.e...

Why are high-end headphones so hard to find?

It's certainly easier for Americans, but even then from my limited experience it seems the majority of products are imported internationally with slow shipping times and questionable warranty/return opportunities. Am I wrong?

Why are high-end headphones so hard to find?

So you think high end headphones are too niche outside of the household name brands? I would think the turn tables and other hi-fi stereo stuff would be even more niche, but I guess the ROI would be higher on those big ticket items? Would love to hear from a current/former audio store owner or...

Why are high-end headphones so hard to find?

I'm looking for a quick education on the state of the high end headphone industry - why are high end headphones so hard to find? It seems like the vast majority of acclaimed headphones I purchase are off of Ebay from International sellers, the market place here on head-fi, or they are a...

How do the technical specifications compare between these two sets?

Right now my relatively untrained ears are content with my Logitech Z Cinema speakers. Here are the technical specifications: Total power: 180 watts RMS Subwoofer: 110 watts RMS (into 4 ohms, @ 45Hz) Midwoofer: 26 watts RMS x 2 (into 4 ohms, @ 335Hz) Tweeter: 9 watts RMS x 2 (into 16...

Recommend me sub-$200 IEMs for listening to hip hop without an amp

Hi all, Looking for IEMs under $200, mostly for listening to rap and hiphop, without an amp. What are the must-consider options with this criteria? Thanks in advance, Jamie

Why would you choose cans over IEMs?

Thanks guys. I hadn't thought about the seal. That's important to me. I'd prefer to listen to my music without the entire room hearing it. Even though I will do 80% of my listening at home, that's probably the deal breaker. I'll post a "help me choose an IEM" thread with the specifics soon...

Why would you choose cans over IEMs?

I've sampled around in the sub-$100 range with a number of entry-level IEMs. Skullcandy, NuForce, Munitio... I'm ready to take a step up with a budget of about $200, but first I want to consider the possibility cans may be the better buy. Are cans vs IEMs similar to desktop PCs vs laptops? You...
