Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread
I've been using my T90s for about a month now and initially with a bad source I did find them sharply bright but with a better source I haven't had an issue. I find them very engaging, I often stop what I'm working on to just listen. My only real complaint is they clamp very loose so if I move...- stinn

Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread
Did you notice a big difference switching them to balanced? I just got my about 6 hours ago and have only been able to put about an hour of listening in but so far I like what I hear. I'm coming from an old pair of HD555s and these definitely have more high end.- stinn

Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread
Any details on this mod? parts you used? pictures of the process? I have a set of T90s incoming and I really don't care for the long cable so I was thinking of doing a rewire myself.- stinn

The next step(from HD555 and ATH-A900)
What does everyone think of the W5000 vs the AD2000? I did some reading and can't seem to find a good direct comparison. Thanks- stinn

The next step(from HD555 and ATH-A900)
The ATH-AD2000s are really starting to sound more and more tempting. Since I also plan to go down to a single headphone setup(at least for the time being) I like the fact that they do all genres well. My music taste is pretty eclectic, my current playlist in winamp is: Bright Eyes - Lifted...- stinn

The next step(from HD555 and ATH-A900)
Brando: I'll keep those in mind. Do they sound pretty similar to the A900s? Scytheavatar: Honestly I've been out of headphones for a while, that's the reason I sold my 900s. I really enjoyed both phones. I liked the 555s just a touch better out of my m^3. When I wasn't using an amp I think...- stinn

The next step(from HD555 and ATH-A900)
If possible I'd like to get something now that will work well with what i have but would have headroom to improve with future source upgrades. For cans I wouldn't really want to go above $350 or $400, and I would look at used stuff.- stinn

The next step(from HD555 and ATH-A900)
My current setup is AV-710 > M^3 > HD555, since I just sold my A900s. I'm planning to replace the 710 for an Asus card, probably the Essense when it becomes available again. I've always been interested in going with a tube amp as well, so that could be added to the setup eventually. Anyway, I...- stinn

This is really what soundstage is...
wow, the first time I listened to it with my eyes closed and it was incredible. I'm listening to it now with my eyes open and my brain keeps looking for him when he is "in front" of me. Extremely cool.- stinn

Good Closed Headphones
i just got the A900's and am very pleased with them. I don't find them hot or uncomfortable in the least, however it hasn't been overly hot here lately. I actually find them really comfortable, perhaps as, or maybe even more, comfortable then my HD555s. They also sound pretty much as good out...- stinn
