FiiO FH5 - Quad Driver Hybrid In-Ear Monitors || Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers
I discovered Azla sednafit eartips a few months back and wouldn't use anything else. I have them on my FH5's, WF-1000XM4's and BGVP DM6's and haven't wanted to change to anything else. Sorry if this has made the decision harder!- Steve Guppy

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
Great choices I'm sure but neither portable. This on the other hand does interest me. Does need to offer a balanced output though.- Steve Guppy

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions
So, can anyone recommend a good, portable and balanced amp/dac to drive the Dt's well. Currently using a FiiO Q5 on high gain, and although they sound great, I'm at max volume and still comfortable listening. I can't help but think a bit more power would really make these sing. Was looking at...- Steve Guppy

Thanks for this. Rewind Track % isn't actually that self explanatory to be fair. It could just as easily mean how far back it actually rewinds.....- Steve Guppy

High power portable dac/amp with balanced output to drive custom Dt 1770 pro's
Yeah, im considering it. I am an unashamed fan of a bass boost, so i may be inclined to agree with Zeos's opinions there. But it is tempting. Also interested in the Ifi Idsd Signature, but it may be stretching portability though. Definitely powerful enough at 4100mw @32ohm..- Steve Guppy

High power portable dac/amp with balanced output to drive custom Dt 1770 pro's
So this is basically a request for suggestions on a portable amp/dac combo that will give me a bit more juice through my Beyers. Im currently using a Fiio Q5, which i think is fantastic, and a real steal for the money. But i can't help but feel that the 1770's would benefit from a bit more...- Steve Guppy

2.5mm balanced jack
For IEM'S, there's lots of places you can get inexpensive, good quality 2.5mm terminated cables. Try Aliexpress, Amazon, Penon Audio, Linsoul, to name but a few. As for your Sundaras, you'll probably need something custom made. Try Oidio Sound or Custom Cans. They've both been fabulous with me...- Steve Guppy

FiiO Q1MKII- Native DSD Support, XMOS USB DAC chip, DAC AK4452, 20 hours
They definitely do very good cables for Android use. However, i haven't seen a lightning variant, but then again, i haven't looked. But Penon Audio definitely do a good range of usb cables- Steve Guppy

OIDIO SOUND Impressions Thread
I've just received my Pellucid-Plus cable for the Beyerdynamic dt 177x Go today. I actually have custom dt 1770 pro's, not the Massdrop version, but the cable works perfectly nonetheless. So far, so good. Feels very well made and looks great. Wanted something a little more compact for mobile... -
USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
Exactly. Found these 2 work very well with a portable set-up, are good quality and are nice and compact:- Steve Guppy
